It is a dark night.
Snow is falling, coming down like a blizzard as the wind blows.
Someone in a dark cloak with their hood covering their face is carrying a swaddled newborn baby in their arms. That same someone is running in the snowstorm to an old church building with the words: 'Father Sam's Orphanage' written on the arch.
Baby: "(Crying/Wailing)"
The same someone hurridly bangs their fist on the church door knocker. When they hear people running to open the door, they put the baby down, and then disappear in the snowstorm.
Sam Eagle in a nightcap and flannel pajamas opens the door. He looks left and right, then looks down. He quickly picks up the crying baby and brings it inside, shutting the door.
Subtitles appear on the door saying 'Ten years later' and the scene repeats; but with a young girl and boy opening the door and noticing the baby. The girl picks up the baby and brings it inside while the boy shuts the door.
The scene turns black and subtitles that say 'Eight years later' appear on the screen as daylight and a snow-covered town comes into view. The opening credits appear while part of the Nutcracker's 'March' plays. After that, a Christmas medley plays as the scene moves through the town while the townspeople, a mixture of people and muppets, are singing.
Ensemble Townspeople: "(Singing/Dancing)"
After the song ends, the scene moves over to a snow-covered mansion on a hill.
