A Merry Muppet Mash-Up

ACT 2: SCENE 6

The scene opens with the score 'In the Pine Forest' as snow and a fierce wind are blinding the camera. Sweetums soon comes into focus with everyone walking behind him. Sweetums is whizzing his club as he makes a path through the snowbanks. Miss Piggy is using her magic wand to shield everyone from the cold, but really it's just very good winter gear.

Everybody is trying to sing over the howling wind, but the only sounds that can pierce it are Animal's marching drums, Zoot's saxophone, and Sweetums's slightly off-key singing. Suddenly, Sweetums drops through the snow and disappears. The others, blinded by the storm, don't see the hole until it's too late. They all fall through the hole, which then disappears as the storm covers it, and the dropped instruments.

With a reprise of 'Coda' at normal speed, the group slides through maze-like tunnels. They get separated into three groups; Clara and Marie with Pepe. Kermit, Miss Piggy, Beau, and Animal. Plus Sweetums, Walter, and the rest of the Electric Mayhem. 

They finally reunite in a snowy cave after falling into snowbanks.

Ensemble: [As they're sliding in the tunnels] "(Screaming/whooping)"

After landing in one of the snowbanks, Kermit is the first to get his bearings.

Kermit/Hoffmann: [After digging himself out of the snowbank] "Is everyone alright?"

Ensemble: [A handful raise their hands with a thumbs-up gesture] "(Groans/moans dizzily)"

To Kermit's left, Marie is digging Walter out of the snow.

Clara: [Seeing her sister after Beau helps her up] "Need a hand, Marie?"

Marie: [Without turning her head] "No thanks." [Pulls Walter from the snow] "You okay, Nutcracker?"

Walter/Nutcracker: [Sputters and brushes the snow off himself] "I'm alright. Thank you, Marie."

Just then, the fairy from the fountain flies into the cave.

Snowflake Fairy: [Exclaims in relief] "Oh thank goodness. It's only you guys."

Miss Piggy/Sugar Plum Fairy Queen: [Slightly rude as she dusts the snow off her dress] "Of course it's us! Who'd you think it was?"

Snowflake Fairy: [Offended by Miss Piggy's tone] [Folds her arms] "Barnaby."

Sweetums: "I highly doubt even he could get through that blizzard out there."

Beau Blu: "Yeah. He'd freeze into a solid piece of ice as soon as he set foot in those woods."

Marie: "Not if he had some kind of spell or amulet to protect him from the storm or cold."

Snowflake Fairy: "That's why my friends and I are creating piles and piles of snow. To keep him from finding our palace."

Walter/Nutcracker: "Is that where we are now?"

As the snowflake fairy nods her head, one of her brothers, with more blue to his clothes, flies into the cave and stops by his sister.

Male Snowflake Fairy: "What is it, sister? Has that evil toad comeback?" [Assumes the stance of a fighter as he turns about and growls, swinging his fists] "Where is he? This time I'm ready for him!"

Snowflake Fairy: "Brother, it's not Barnaby. It's the royal princesses and prince of the Christmas Realms."

Male Snowflake Fairy: [Turns to Clara and the group] [Bows] "A pleasure to meet you, Your Highnesses."

Just then, more snowflake fairies fly into the cave and talk over each other.

Snowflake Fairy #1: "Are they here?"
