"Listen, lad, from what you've told me about her so far, she isnt good fer ya." James explains, standing behind Jack to his left. Jack twists his neck to reply with an icy stare.

"She's all I want." The words leave him blankly as he slaps his card onto the counter next to the still boxed cellphone. The cashier behind the counter seems entirely disinterested in the conversation, thanfully for Jack's sake.

"Need and want are two different things!" James shakes his head, clapping a hand onto Jack's shoulder.

"Listen, she told ya to leave. Ya really think she wants tah be chattin ya up?" He says, jutting at hand out at the boxed phone on the counter. Jack stares at it a moment, weighing his friends words.

Ultimately, he decides its better to know for sure than remain questioning everything. He snatches the boxed phone, reciet and his card in one swoop, turning on his heel to make his way to the exit, tearing the box apart on the way, pawing the phone out.

"Where ya goin' ya wanker!? I'm drivin'!" James calls after him on his heals.

Jack makes it outside and tosses the box into the bin, instantly dialing his service carrier to transfer his number over, but the phone quickly gets snatched from his hands.

"Aye! Are you listenin' tah me arsehole!?" James shouts, holding the phone out of Jack's reach.

"Knock it off shitehead!" Jack growls in response, desperately grasping for it again and again.

"No! You moved all the way to LA for this chick, and now look atcha! She kicked ya out! Hussy probably been fillin' yer spot in bed with a new man each night you been gone!" James hollers, his face contorted in frustration.

Jack's fist balls and conncets with Jame's jaw all in one motion. James stumbles back in a bewlidered haze, staring at Jack as his own hand lifts to his sore face.

"Dont you ever fuckin' insult her like that again! She'd never betray me like that!" Jack's voice returns James' frustration, but rage curled around the edges of his words, making them sharp as knives.

James' face twists into a fury but he quickly rights himself, straightening out his jacket, collecting his composure.

"Fine. Call her, text her, whatever. But if it ends badly, I told ya so." James evenly responds, slapping the phone into Jack's hand before making his way past him to the truck.

Jack fumbles with the brick in his hands a moment, doubt falling over him suddenly. What if James is right? She could be up to anything with him not there. She could be with anyone doing anything. He pushes the jealousy aside, bringing the phone to his ear after dialing the number.

The robotic voice gives him instructions on entering his account password and then the number he wanted transferred, and he waits patiently for it to tell him that it was succesfull, but instead met with troubling news.

"This action may take up to twenty-fout hours for completion. Please remain patient if any texts or calls do not go through at this time. If the number has still not transfered after the twenty-four hour period, please, call again. Thank you for using-" Jack hangs up, swearing quietly to himself and pinching the bridge of his nose.

If he cant call her, the best thing for him to do is to just go home. His real home, where she is.,So thats exactly what he'll do. He sighs to himself, turning back to look at James' over his shoulder, who sits in the driver side of the truck, looking a bit more than frustrated and impatient.

Jack makes his way over to the window, guilt weighing on his steps. He taps on the window with his knuckle, and James sighs to himself in the cab before rolling it down.

"I'm sorry, mate. I shouldn't be tossing bloody right hooks at ya." Jack somberly apologises, his eyes meeting James' soft ones.

"Ah, what be an Irish kinship without a brawl er two? Besides, should be me apologisin' if anyone." James states factually.

"She just... She has a way about her that makes me crazy." Jack grips the door untill his knuckles whiten, still thinking about how you could be bedding men left and right. Its his right, and his right alone to be the man who brings her such pleasure. It makes his blood boil to imagine a man between her legs where he belongs. He grits his teeth, his head dropping his chin to his chest.

"I see that. If she be makin you act like this, she must be somethin'." James replies, pointing up to his already reddening jaw.

"She really is... She's everythin' to me.." The words fall out of Jack mindlessly.

"I've got to go back Jay..." He says, pulling his eyes away from the paved parkinglot to meet his friend's serious eyes. James nods understandingly.

"I wont try to stop ya. You might jab me again." He smirks at Jack to lighten his mood, suceeding as a smile pulls across Jack's expression as well.

"Hop in, we'll go getcha a plane ticket." James tossed his head over to the passenger side, and Jack climbs in eagerly.

Hes going to go home, hes going to see her again. And that means he'll finally know for sure if she wants him back just as badly as he wants her. Just thinking over her now makes his heart beat faster in his chest. Its like waking up from a deep sleep when he imagines her with him. He can fix everything. He will fix everything.
