Joe and Dianne's Strictly Journey

Chapter 3- The Big Night

Joe POV
Tonight is the night that all the hard work and training has been leading up too. I'm up earlier and wait for Dianne to arrive so we can head to Elstree studios together.

"Good morning" she says as she comes to my door

"You ready to go" I ask her
She nods her head and we get into the Uber.

"You feeling good about the dance" she smiles

"Yeah I think so" I reply

Dianne and I chat the whole way there, as soon as we pull up outside of Elstree studios a wave of nerves fill my body but as a look at Dianne they settle again.

"Ready to roll" she giggles

"Born ready" I laugh back

We head to the studio and we have to do our dress rehearsal for later. It went pretty well I only made one small mistake with the steps.

"That was so good" she grins and gives me a long hug, when we pulled away we realised everyone was watching, maybe we were hugging for too long.

It was later on now and we were just finishing getting our hair and makeup done with all the other contestants, some who I am getting to know really well.

" Joe follow me" Dianne says and takes me into a room alone "so you feeling good ?"

"Yeah but I am nervous" I spoke

"That's fine to be nervous, and whatever happens tonight, I'm going to proud that you got out there a gave it a good shot" she smiles at me.

Dianne and I have a connection which I have never had with a person before, this women is killing me.

Dianne's POV
I take Joe into a room and I was debating on if I should tell him about my feelings, I decided against it and spoke about the dance. I stare into his eyes as I spoke and I throughly for a moment he was staring at mine like I was at his. We have a hug and head back to everyone else as we are about to go live.

"Joe you did amazing" I said as the show finished

"I didn't think I would get 29 for a jive, must be because such a good teacher" he grinned

"Good job tonight" Stacey and Kevin shout as the walk by.

"We are already going to be learning a New dance on Monday" I tell him

"I actually can't wait" he smiles, this made me blush the thought of joe wanting to be around me.

"Me neither" I say back

"Do you wanna come get some food?" He asks nervously, maybe Joe does have feelings for me too.

"I would love too" I giggle

We head out for some late dinner, it almost feels like we are on a date, even though I know it's not and can't think of this like that.

Back to Joe's POV

It feels like we are on a date, I wonder if she's feeling It too, I kinda think there might be something there but I don't mention it.

"That was soo much fun" I smile

"I know right, i didn't know you were going to do that amazing" she replied

"Yeah, you too" I say sarcastically and she laughs.

We sit and have a lovely meal, I excuse myself and head to the bathroom. I need to ring someone and tell them how I feel, I just can't keep it in anymore, I take out my phone and ring Byron.

B: Alright mate ??
J: I'm out having dinner with Dianne
B: is it a date ??
J: Yes I mean no
B: woah woah woah, chill
J: I really really like her
B: just play it call and be chill take it slow, if it's meant to happen something will don't rush it.
J: your right, thanks Byron
B: Bye
J: Bye

I head back to Dianne "you okay ?" She says
"Yeah fine"
I sit back down and we finish our meal until we decide it was time to get going.

"I really enjoyed tonight joe, everything it was perfect"

"Me too, can't wait to start dancing again next week" I expressed

"Can't wait to teach you" she responded

"See you Monday" I said
"See you Monday" she pulled me into a long hug and we went our separate ways. I was buzzing after that meal, even though it wasn't a proper date, it definitely felt like one. Dianne is such an amazing person.
