Joe's POV
We had 3 days in Australia together before it was time to go back to the uk for New Years, it was my 2nd day here. I'm really getting on with all off Dianne's family and this morning we where going to head to the beach. I love seeing Dianne with her niece and nephew, she is such a good auntie and loves kids which gives me good hopes for the future.
When we got to the beach I joined in on the morning making sure I at least kept up with Dianne, then we spent some time in the sea and started to play Frisbee.
I threw it to Andrew who managed to crash into someone. He had brown hair was tall and had bright blue eyes and was very muscular.
"Dianne" he exclaimed and she looked up at him
"Max" she said nervously I was slightly confused to who this guy was
Dianne's parents walk over "max I can't believe it how's the family ?"
Dianne walks over to me and grabs hold of my hand he glances at us.
"Good we decided to come back to Australia for a few months" he explains
"That's amazing, we should all go to dinner tonight" mark suggests
"Sure I'll ask my parents" he smiles "Good to see you all, Dianne" he says before running of in the distance to find his mates
"Dianne, Joe you will come right you probably want to see Hanna his sister" Rina says
"Sure" Dianne smiles a little uncertain
"Who's that" I ask her as she takes me of on a walk down the beach
"That is a family friend of ours max but he is also my ex before Anthony" she tells me nervously
"No wonder why he was so interested in you" I say a little jealous
"Joe we broke up 3 years ago, I don't care that he's here all I care about is that your here with me that's it all I want is you" she explains "look we don't have to go to this dinner later.."
I cut her off "Di, I don't want to ruin your night don't you want to see his sister I'll come, as long as I'm with you I don't care what we do"
"Okay, I love you" she kisses me
"I love you too" I say kissing her back
We were getting ready for dinner tonight and I was trying to look forward to it I don't think any boyfriend wants to be going to dinner with there girlfriend and her ex boyfriend and both their families who know each other extremely well.
I put on Dianne's favourite shirt of mine and do my hair.
"You look good" Dianne grins walking into our room "you know it's still not to late to back out if you don't feel comfortable with going"
"Di honestly it's fine as long as we are together" I smile and she gives me a small kiss
"Come on we better go" she smiles
We get to the restaurant and they were waiting outside for us. Dianne says hello to everyone before introducing me "this is my boyfriend Joe"
"Ah yeah we did see a few episodes of strictly while we where in England" Says Hannah
Dianne gives max a brief hug before we shake hands I introduce myself as Dianne's boyfriend Joe hoping I don't sound to protective. I hate this seeing them hug each other, I'm starting to understand how Dianne feels with Stacey, you can't help
But feel a wave of jealousy when they interact.
For Dianne I tell myself and I smile when i see her getting on so well with Hannah like they have had no time apart.
She takes my hand as we walk to the table Dianne sitting between Hannah and I and max right in front of us.
"So no girlfriend ??" Andrew Asks
"No I have had one since Dianne" he smiles at her
"So you been going out a while" max asks us
"Yeah it's been a few months" I say "and it's going really well" I add with some attitude in my voice
Dianne puts her hand on my thigh and I stop talking.
"So has joe been up for Christmas?" Asks Helen Max's Mum
"Uh no he actually surprised me a couple days ago we head back on the 30th ready for New Years, I was so surprised to see him here but it was the best surprise I've ever had" Dianne explains smiling at me and taking Hold of my hand I see max roll his eyes. This is gonna be a long dinner but at least after this I will never have to see him again.
Once our food has arrived Di and I talk about strictly for a while and then we hear why they came back you Australia for a few months. I keep noticing Max looking at Dianne, I mean I understand she's beautiful but she's mine. Once dinner has finished we wait for Dianne outside who just popped to to the toilet and then I notice max is missing. There's only one place he could have gone.
Dianne's POV
"Di wait up" I hear max say "I feel like I didn't really get a chance to talk to you"
"Really I feel like we talked a lot" I smile
"So are you and joe proper serious ??" He ask me
"Yeah we are he's amazing" I smile at the thought of him
"Di What happened to us ?" Max Asks taking hold of my hands
"Max you not what happened, look I'm with Joe now and I'm happy" I say pulling my hands away and walking back out to Joe. He pulls me into his side.
"You okay?" He asks
"Yeah I'm fine, let's go" I say taking his hand and walking to the car
We spend the rest of the evening together and hanging out with my family, I love this when we are all together, I can't believe how lucky I am to have someone like Joe.
