Joe's POV
It was the day before Dianne was leaving for Australia, I managed to get through the run through with Stacey yesterday without much trouble.
"What do you want to do today ?" I ask with a smile
"Well I need to Pack because I'm leaving early morning but we could go out for lunch or something" she suggests
"Sounds good" I say giving her a kiss "but before we leave I reckon I should give you your Christmas presents"
She smirks at me "Joe you didn't have to get me anything"
"I didn't have to but I wanted to" I state
"Well I guess I'll go get yours to then" she adds
"Dianne you didn't have to get me anything" I say mocking her and she hit me on my arm playfully
After we exchange presents we head out for some lunch.
Dianne's POV
We where in an Uber on our way to grab some food
I get a text from Amy
Have you seen this ?? Xx
I open up the picture attached, Giovanni Pernice and Ashley Roberts confirm there Relationship rumours.
"Joe look at this" I say passing him the phone
"We aren't the only ones then" he says smiling
"I can't quite believe strictly is over" I state " it went so quick and I'm gonna miss spending everyday training with you"
"Yeah but you're going back to Australia to see your family and it's the next step now" he takes hold of my hand and I smile at him.
Once we finish eating we head back to Joe's and he helps me pack for my early morning flight tomorrow. We spend the rest of the day on the sofa watching a few movies before Joe offers to make me dinner as I needed an early night, which didn't happen Joe and I ended up going to bed at 11 and I needed to be up in 3 hours.
I carefully got out of bed at 3:02 in the morning, trying not to wake Joe I need to leave In half and hour. I make myself a quick coffee and head upstairs to get change. I see Joe stirring in bed, I was hoping I didn't wake him but he sits up to see me getting changed.
"Sorry I didn't mean to wake you" I say sympathetically
"What no Di, you should of woke me your not leaving without saying goodbye and I want to take you to the airport" he smiled
"Joe I can't let you, go back to sleep or you will be tired tomorrow" I explain
"Di I'm taking you to the airport wether you like it or not" Je smirks before putting on some joggers and a top
"You're amazing" I smile before giving him a quick kiss
"You almost ready?" He asks
"Yeah, could you bring my bag down please" I ask softly
"Of course" he said "I'll put it in the car"
I finish getting ready and see joe in the car waiting for me. The ride to the airport felt short but maybe that's because I didn't want it to end, I just wish he could come with me but I know that's selfish and he needed to spend time with his family over Christmas as much as I did.
"Come on I've got your bag" he smiles walking me inside taking a hold of my hand.
A small tear fell down my face as we say goodbye,I'm
never normally like this with anyone, he wipes it of my face.
"You'll be okay when you get there and your with your family, call me as soon as you land" he pulls me into his embrace
"Of course, I'm gonna miss you but have the best time with your family over Christmas" we have a long lingering kiss
"Send all your family love from me and have a safe flight" He places another kiss on my head "I love you"
"I love you too" I give him one last kiss before walking off with my suitcase bring on Australia
Joe's POV
I watch Dianne walk off she smiles back at me little does she know I'm going to be seeing her a lot sooner than she thinks. I drive home and get back into bed knowing Dianne will be on her plane soon, It took me a while but I eventually fall back to sleep without her there.
I'm sat in bed up waiting For Dianne's call to say she's in Aussie safety.
"Hey Joe" I hear a small voice say on the other line
"Hey, you at your parents yet ?" I ask
"Just arrived but wanted to talk to you first" she says
We talk on the phone for about 10 minutes before Dianne decides it's probably time to see her family.
"Alright, you can call me anytime no matter what time it is here" I say
"Okay, Love you" I could almost hear her smile on the other side of the phone I knew she would be okay when she got there.
"Love you too"
