Joes POV
It's Christmas today and I decided after spending some of the day with my mum I was going to go to Zoe's with my Dad which does not normally happen but with strictly I haven't really seen her much.
She welcomes us inside giving us both hugs, Alfie, Alfie's parents, poppy and Shaun where already here.
"Hows Mum, she okay ??" Asks Zoe
"Yeah she's gone to aunties house" I smile
We spend some time exchanging presents and playing a few games before we all sit down for food.
"Are you missing Dianne ??" She asks
"I've already spoken to her twice today but yeah of course I'm missing here we have never spent this much time apart so I'm flying out to see her tomorrow and we're coming back just before New Years" I explain as I haven't told anyone
"Does she know ?" Poppy asks
"No I'm gonna surprise her" I grin
We finish up our food and we begin to play a few games. My phone starts to ring it's Dianne, what is she doing up.
D: Hey
J: Hey you Alright ??
D: Yeah can't sleep jet lagged still and I miss You
J: I miss you too, so you get any presents better than the ones I gave you
D: Never, so you having a good day
J: Yeah I'm with all the family now
D:Aw Sorry I interrupted
J: I don't mind Dianne I told you anytime
I talk to Dianne some more before finishing up our conversation.
D: Okay I love you
J: love you too
"Is she okay ?" Dad asks me
"Yeah fine just jet lagged" I explain "we should probably get going I've got to be on a plane at 6"
"Joe how are you gonna go a day with contacting Dianne" Zoe questions
"That's where you come in" i smile
I explain to Zoe she needs to tell Di my phone is broken and I won't be able to message her tomorrow and to remind her I'm going to see her soon.
When I get home I pack my suitcase and jump into bed, I have had such a good Christmas but i can't wait to see my girl. I have a long flight tomorrow.
I wake up after about 4 hours sleep and order and Uber to the airport. Finally I'm sat on the plane, I hope Dianne isn't to annoyed at me that she can't call me.
Dianne's POV
I woke up this morning with a text from Zoe which is rare.
Joe's phone is broken, it's getting fixed today so he won't be able to call you but he wanted to remind you that he will see you soon. Xx
Great I have to go a day without any contact with Joe I try to push it to the side and enjoy the day with my family because I know I will miss them just as much when I go back to the uk.
I ended up having such a good day and the only thing missing was my calls from Joe. My family and I are all sat together playing some games and watching the tv.
Joe's POV
I arrive in Australia it was about 11:00 I message mark, Dianne's Dad
Just got of the plane , on my way see you in a bit
Alright, she hasn't got a clue.
I smile hoping she's going to be excited to see me and arrive and let Mark know I'm outside.
Back to Dianne's POV
I hear the door go "Who's that at this time ?" I ask and get a bland response "is no one gonna answer it?" I say getting up and walking to the door. I pull the door open and could not believe who I saw on the other side "Joe" I scream before jumping into his arms
"What are you doing here ?" I ask
"I came to surprise you" he grins and kisses me on the lips before all my family come to greet him
"Did you know about this" I ask them clinging on to Joe's side
"Yeah we have been texting about it for weeks" my dad says
"I can't believe your here" I squeal again
My family spend some time getting to know Joe we talk about strictly,when it all happened,and joe's and mines family. I'm so glad they are getting on so well. It was now 1:00 and we decide it's best to head to bed I show Joe to our room.
"I'm so happy you came" I grin giving him a kiss
"I hope you don't mind but I've got to seats for the flight on the way home so would you care to join me" he asks
"Of course, that sounds so much better" I agree
We get into bed and I snuggle up to him "I really missed this" I sigh
"I missed it to" he whispers
