Joe's POV
Today was my third Dance on strictly and my first ballroom performance. Dianne and I have had a blast learning the routine this week and have become even closer than before. Dianne and I got in and Uber and headed for Elstree studios, something seemed to have been bothering her.
"Are you alright Di ?" I ask her
"Yeah, I think" she replied
"Are you sure ?" I questioned, slightly worried about what it could be.
"It's just I had a really weird encounter with Danny last night" she confesses "but I'm sure it was nothing"
"How do your mean ?" I wandered
"He said to me if you and I get a higher score than him he will, well he said he didn't dink's what he was gonna do" Dianne explained
"That doesn't sound like Danny at all" I said shocked
"He said it really aggressively and then told me not to tell anyone, so don't talk about this to anyone else" she says
"Look it will all be okay, we will still dance are hardest" I stated
"But what if something happens?" Dianne Asks
"Look I won't let him hurt you" I say shyly and grab hold of Dianne's hand.
"Thanks Joe" she smiles back at me
We arrive at the studio and after a little while we head to hair and make up. Dianne and I have become inseparable and I think that people are really starting to notice. I'm excited for our dance tonight and I hope that there will be a big spark between us.
Suddenly Danny comes in the room, he seems reasonably calm but I do watch him give Dianne a dirty look. What is going on with him, Dianne told me not to mention it so I won't for now. A few moments later Stacey comes to talk to me "Alright joe"
"Yeah, you ready to dance ?" I ask
"Just about" she says "um Danny seems quiet, so you know what's up"
I could mention it to her but I don't want Dianne to be upset and I see her listening "not a clue"
"That's weird, put these on" Stacey giggles and hands me some glasses which I do put on "you do look like Kev" she laughs and goes to tell him
"I love Stacey" I say to Dianne
"Yeah" she smiles but it seemed fake to me maybe Dianne is jealous but why would she be.
Dianne's POV
Im slightly jealous of Stacey and Joe, okay a lot jealous. Sometimes I just think that he might like her and I want him to like me. A little while later it's just Joe and I
"You ready to crush it" I question
"I think so" he says nervously
"I know your are,I'm just concerned about Danny did you see how he looked at me" I expressed
"I did actually but we will dance our best and if we get higher we get higher, I'll make sure nothing happens I promise you have nothing to worry about" he explained
This calmed down and I felt about ready to dance. Joe and I are before Danny and Amy which means we will have no idea what score they will get.
A while later Joe and I heading out on to the dance floor and before we know it our American smooth is over. We got 26 which is so good for Joe's first ballroom he has such potential. After a few more Dances it was Danny's turn, Joe and I were stood on the top of the balcony watching, I grabbed hold of joe's hand I was so nervous while watching them dance. Once it was finished I took a deep breath it was alright and I have no idea what score they will get. They head up the stairs and the judges give there scores.
"28" I hear Claudia say and my heart starting beating again even though it's annoying we didn't beat them at least I won't have Danny on my back
"I told you hit would have been fine" Joe whispers
After the show Amy comes and congratulated me and we chat for a while.
"You and Joe looked pretty loved up tonight" she smirks
"Amy!" I shriek
"What?" She laughs
"Do you really think that" I question
"Yeah honestly, there is s connection there" she says
I smile at her and she grins back at me "anyway do you think there is something wrong with Danny because Stacey asked me"
"Nope I have noticed nothing, but I have been pretty focused on other things" I lie
The door opens and Joe comes in "I'm not interrupting on girly time or anything" he joked
"No,no" i say as Amy watches
"I'm about to head off, do you need me to order you an Uber or anything" he asks sweetly
"No it's fine, I think I will go with Amy" I question
"Sounds good to me" she replies
"See you Monday then" he smiles
"Yeah" I say and he pulls me into a hug and kisses my cheek
After joe leaves Amy turns to me and says "and you think he doesn't like you, he was gonna order an Uber for you how cute"
"He was jay being nice" I grin
"Yeah right" Amy responds
