Loki stumbled over his steps, almost collapsed, as he dragged his wounded up body down the hallway. Blood dripping down his side it created a long trail of crimson liquid on the marble floor. He gritted his teeth, ignored the pain shooting up his spine, and quickened his pace. He needed to get to his room as fast as possible, needed to get away from all the curious eyes around the palace. He couldn't let himself be seen. Looking back between his ragged breath, the God of Mischief saw the shadow rounding a corner. Footsteps became louder, he was getting closer.

"Damn it!" Loki hissed before returning his focus on getting to his chamber. Every slightest movement his muscles made hurt like hell. Still he couldn't slow down knowing if he did, he would catch up soon. His brother would catch up soon and Loki simply couldn't let Thor or anyone see him like this. So he had to hurry.

"Loki!" Thor shouted after, trying to stop his brother. Loki worried him. They just went through a battle on Vanaheim. It was a tough fight but they won. Though Loki'd been acting so strange all the way back home. He didn't talk to anyone. His body was so tense and he always held on to his side so tight. These didn't go unnoticed by Thor. The Thunder God knew something was wrong. He just knew it, and his skeptical was confirmed when, the second they reached Bifost, Loki headed straight to the palace without stopping to celebrate the victory they achieved. It was so unlike him. He always liked the salute and the applause. Now he just wanted to disappear from the planet. So Thor said no when Fandral handed him a mug of beer. He needed to make sure Loki was okay first.

Seeing blood trail on the floor made his heart drop "Loki, talk to me!" Thor quickened his pace only for his brother to slam the door shut in front of his face. "Loki?... Loki, open the door!" He tried to knob. Of course, it was locked. "Loki!" Thor's fist bang against the wood. If Loki wouldn't open up soon, he'd rip this damn door open himself. He knew he physically could and he sure as shit would.

"Leave me alone, Thor" The voice coming from the other side and even just by the sound, Thor could hear so much pain it in. Loki sounded so out of breath it seemed like speaking suddenly became a hard task for the Trickster God.

"Loki, you're not well. Let me see you" Thor tried to cool himself down. Loki was stubborn. Always so stubborn, but so was Thor. There was no way he was going to let his brother bleed out in there.

"Go away" Loki grunted when his legs gave out before he could reach the bed, and he laid there on the floor. Hands pressed tight on the wound now soaked in warm blood.

"Loki" Thor knocked harder. He wasn't going to give up.

Great! Why is he here? Why is he here?! The God of Mischief mentally cursed. The last thing Loki needed was for anyone to see him down. "I'm fine" That was obviously a lie, but he was also known for being the God of Lies.

"If you're fine then just open up, brother. Let me see you" Thor sounded calmer. He wasn't shouting anymore. Though he was more desperate. Loki could tell that.

"Go-" Loki couldn't finish his sentence. His voice got interrupted by his own yelp when the slightest movement he made shot pain up his spine it sucked the breath out of him.

Thor heard that. Even though Loki tried to suppress his moan Thor could still catch it, and that was the last straw for the Thunder God. With one yank, the door almost flew out of its hinges. "Loki!" Thor shouted in horror, eyes widened with panic once his gaze landed on Loki laying on the floor in the pool of his own blood. Thor crossed the room in three quick strikes and kneeled down next to his brother. He tried to find the source of the bleeding and it took only two seconds till he found a nasty cut on Loki's side. Thor bit the inside of his cheek to try to hide the fear on his face. Loki never got hurt this badly. Blood gushing out of him turned the Trickster God so pale it was scary that Thor actually scared if he was going to lose his brother.
