This chapter was inspired by the fan art below by gensenkan on Twitter, and the movie "The Voices" ( it's a 2014 dark comedy/ horror film starring Ryan Reynolds and Anna Kendrick which is one of my personal favorites!) I would also like to say thank you to kayty_drawings from Instagram for encouraging me into writing this!

"Thank you, daughter. Perhaps I treated you too harshly-" Thanos' voice was cut off by the sharp blade of Thor's Stormbreaker decapitating him clean in one quick strike. The momentum sent the purple head of the Titan six feet away from its body. For a moment everybody held their breath, stunned. The sudden attack by the God of Thunder caught the team off guard. It happened in an instant and was so unexpectedly that no one saw it coming. Though it was... understandable considering what Thanos did to Thor. Or to be exact, what Thanos did to Thor's brother.

Nebula knelt down next to the severe head of what used to be the closest-thing-to-a-father to her. Despite all the abuse she meant to do him one last favor by closing his eyes for him. So he could rest at last. So she could be free at last. Though her hand stopped mid-motion before she could make contact, her nonexistent brows furrowed in confusion when the head, the face, started to change its appearance until it wasn't the closest-thing-to-a-father-to-her anymore.

"T... Thor," Nebula stammered.

Thor saw it, too. Everyone saw it and they all were struck mute by a horrifyingly wave of shock and disbelief. This couldn't be happening, Thor thought, felt himself going sick. It was happening. It wasn't just the head that changed in size, shape and everything, but also the body. They were... transforming back into its original state.

"No," Thor shook his head in denial when eventually it was clear enough who he had just slain, whose neck he just wielded his axe across.

Suddenly Thor felt lightheaded. He found it hard to stay upright. His legs gave out, it brought him to his knees. Millions of questions flooded through his head all at once, still as he slowly picked Loki's severe head up, with hands that were trembling out of control, all that came out of his mouth was a faint, "no,"

Loki's eyes remained open, staring blankly at him but at the same time not at him. And that's when it hit Thor; lightnings and tears started accumulating in the both of Thor's eyes as soon as he realized what he had just done.

"No," this time Thor's voice was louder. All his friends could feel the ground started to shake. Thunders and lightnings were radiating out of his body, and then Thor screamed at the top of his lungs as his thunder destroyed everything.
