Please Don't Forget Me...
Chapter 43

(Sammy's POV)
"We're engaged!" Jack and I said simultaneously. All of the adults cheered and the teens and younger kids squealed, running up to me, hugging me as hard as they could.
I breathed a sigh of relief, thankful that none of them were disappointed or angry with our decision.
"When is the wedding!" Ava asked, smiling widely.
"Can I be a flower girl?" Reece pleaded, giving me puppy dog eyes.
I giggled before looking at Jack.
"We've decided to wait a few years, just until the girls are old enough to walk by themselves." He said, moving closer to me, putting his arm around my back, holding my waist.
"Aw dammit." Reece said, her eyes going back to normal.
"You can still be a flower girl though." I smiled, looking down at her.
Her lips turned into a smile and she jumped with joy, hugging my leg.
"Thankyou Sammy!" She screamed.
I ran my hand down her long hair before she let go and stood next to Zach.
Corbyn let out a yawn which made the rest of us yawn too.
"I think it's time we go home." Myta said, looking at all our tired faces.
All of us nodded as we were escorted out onto the street by security.

I had never been to the new apartment complex that the guys and their families lived in, considering I've been in Melbourne for 9 months. It was different, but really nice having everyone's families close by.
When I walked into the Avery's apartment, I was dragged by Isla into a room, while Kristen covered Jacks eyes, and Sydnie covered mine.
They seemed jittery, and eager to reveal the big surprise.
"Ready?" Sydnie said, as Isla let go of my hand.
The hands were removed from Jack and I's eyes and my jaw dropped when I saw the room.
Jacks bedroom had been completely transformed. There was a big queen sized bed for us to sleep in, as well as two pink cribs placed at either side of the bed. The letters J and A hung over our bed, but they weren't Jacks initials, they were the babies starting letters for their names. The room had been painted a crisp white, with a pale pink feature wall that our bed was against. There was a rocking chair and two brand new change tables placed in the corner of the room, filled with tonnes of diapers, baby wipes and toys for the girls to play with.
It was the perfect nursery.
"Oh my gosh." Jack said, his eyes scanning the room.
"This is incredible." I gasped.
"You like it?" Isla asked, gazing up at me.
"I love it" I said, picking her up and giving her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"We worked on it all night." Ava added, walking into the room.
"That's why I can smell paint." Jack said, rubbing his nose.
Suddenly my phone started ringing, making me jump a little. I pulled it out of my pocket and read the caller ID.
Alex.
Straight away, I knew this wasn't going to be good. After Noah was taken out of the concert venue, he was taken back to the hospital for observation. Apparently it was his disease that was making him all crazy. Alex arrived back in Melbourne the next day. After his ex girlfriend called him, he flew straight back down to Melbourne, missing his own film premiere.
The seductive nurse told Alex about Noah's condition and he was completely shocked and heartbroken. Alex had no idea his brother was dying.
"Hey" I said softly, stepping out of the room, answering his call.
"Sammy it's me, Alex. Listen, Noah feels incredibly bad about what happened the other night, is there any chance you're still in Melbourne."
My heart sank.
I was actually half way across the world.
"Oh Alex I'm sorry, I'm actually back in LA with Jack and his family."
There was a pause before I head his voice again, it sound weak, disappointed.
"Oh, that's alright, I guess I'll tell you over the phone then."
Silence filled the line as my heart started thumping fast in my chest.
"Sammy Noah hasn't got long left. The doctors informed me last night that his condition is getting worse. He can hardly walk, and he can't breathe on his own, he needs a machine to pump oxygen into his lungs." He whispered, sounding sad.
Although Noah went all crazy, I still love him like a brother. He was there for me my entire pregnancy and helped me everyday. That's something I could never forget. He was still my best friend, and knowing that he was going to die, tore me apart. Without him, I may have not survived. He welcomed me into his home, gave me food and water, and cared for me when no one else did. I didn't want to let him go, not yet, not ever.
Tears fell down my face as Alex continued talking.
"They give him a week at the most, but he is only just holding on. He asked me to call you while he is still strong enough to talk." Alex said, his voice growing distant as crackles fell over the line.
"Sam—mm—my?" A familiar voice said.
"Hey Noah" I replied, sniffling my nose, wiping away a few tears.
"I'm sorry." He said, coughing a few times.
"It's alright, it's alright." I cried into the phone.
"I should have told you sooner." He said, his voice cracking. I think he was crying too.
"It's okay." I whispered. "You were scared."
Silence filled the line once again before his weak voice softly filled my ears.
"I know my time is coming to an end—" he began. "And I'm okay with that, now that I know you're happy. Don't forget about me will you? And kiss the girls everyday for me."
"I will."'I cried. "And I'll tell them how much you loved them."
"Yeah, tell them once they're old enough, that uncle Noah is watching down on them, and that he won't let anything bad happen."
My tears fell down my face, falling onto the floor.
"If Jack hurts you again I swear—"
"He won't." I said, cutting him off.
"Thankyou for being there for me Noah." I began. "Thankyou for helping me through the toughest part of my life."
"It was my pleasure." He whispered back.
"I'll miss you." I whispered, my voice completely breaking.
"I'll miss you too." He replied.
There was a pause before I concluded the call.
"I love you Noah." I said.
"I love you too." He responded. "Don't have to much fun without me."
"I won't." I huffed, getting choked on my tears.
I hung up the call, tears rapidly streaming down my face. I leant against the wall, before sliding down it, burying my head in my hands...
