Anna's P.O.V.

"I'm glad you're here babe, this was starting to get boring" Said Christina throwing her arms around John's neck.

Not going to lie; these two were seriously annoying to watch. Of course I was going to ignore them as much as possible. John was glancing at me over Christina's shoulder. I wouldn't say he was amazed at how different I looked; I think he wasn't sure it was me.

"Hi, Anna?" Like I said, he was surprised it was me –Anna- in a pink dress.

"Hi" I said without meeting his eyes.

"Christina said you weren't coming" He said confused.

"Yeah but, Abby" I said looking at Abby.

"Oh"

"Wow hi, Anna. Looking great huh?!" Said Paul who had just come near us to say hi. Paul did look amazed at how I changed my appearance.

"I know right? She looks gorgeous! The prettiest girl here actually" Said Abby looking  at Shannon up and down. Shannon is not blind; she noticed, and waved her hair as if in a way of showing us that Abby's comment fed her ego.

"Of course!" Said Paul smiling.

"I think we should sneak in some alcohol" Said John changing the subject.

"You guys should wait. You just got here, babe" Shannon said to Paul.

"She's right" Said Paul. "John, why don't you and Christina go get it?"

"SUUURE, anything else babe?" John's sarcasm was the only thing I like about him. "Don't be an ass, you and I will go. Right Shannon?"

Shannon wasn't happy with that; she waved her hair once again, and rolled her eyes. Abby seemed to enjoy it. I guess I will never understand why they're 'Friends', but have enough hate for each other.

"Let's keep dancing then!" Exclaimed Abby. She's always been the party girl no matter what; all she cared about for now was her dancing.

"If we have no choice" Shrugged Shannon as she danced away, and took Abby's hand to the center of the dancefloor.

These two could get weirder, so I wouldn't worry that much. Christina and Paul followed them after that.

"I'll stay here, thanks" I said to them knowing they wouldn't hear me, but John did. He raised an eyebrow, and looked at me closely. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT ?!" I wasn't good with patience... or people.

"Why did you leave like that the other day?" Ah straight to the point.

"Because I wanted to. Now leave me alone; I'm not in the wood"

He chuckled, and took a cigarette out of his coat before shaking his head as he said "Is that why you're still single?"

I'd lie if I said it didn't hurt me. Of course it fucking did. I'm in a relationship in which I haven't seen my boyfriend in years, and don't know what's he been up to.

"Go away, John." I looked down; I felt awful. I wanted to go home.

I don't think John knew how his words had an impact on me, and hurt me. He obeyed, and walked away from me as he was beckoning Paul over so he'd follow him outside.

I stayed in my chair for another twenty more songs. It sounds a lot, but it really wasn't when you're broken hearted like me. Every stupid song reminded me of him.

Paul and John managed to sneak in their alcohol; they got drunk. I watched the rest of the prom from my chair. Paul and Abby danced together as if Shannon didn't exist; I didn't want to get the wrong idea about them, but it was like they tried hard to make me think so. Christina was distracted with her other friends, and she didn't notice drunken John flirting with another girl. It looks like they both cheat on each other constantly. It suddenly makes sense.
