“Ella, honey! It’s time to wake up!” My mother calls from downstairs. Ugh, I hate mornings. I can’t sleep in though, because I have figure skating practice at five o’clock in the morning. What time is it, anyways?
“4:00 AM,” my clock glares its blazing-red eyes at me.
“Ella! Get up right this minute or I’m coming in there!” My mother loudly reprimands. “I’m sure Gracie Gold doesn’t procrastinate waking up in the mornings like you do!”
“Okay, fine. I’m awake. Can you make me some tea, please?” I ask.
“Sure! I made you some eggs, too. There’s also some fruit ready to be eaten. Come downstairs whenever you are ready,” my mom replies, suddenly sounding chipper.
“Alright. I’ll be down in a minute.”
I pull my long, silky blonde hair into a bun and zip up my Blue Ridge Figure Skating Club jacket. I take a quick look at myself in the mirror, making sure that I look perfect. There is always someone watching me at the rink, whether if it is a cute hockey player or my coaches. I grab my water bottle and head downstairs to eat my breakfast.
