“I didn’t make the Olympics,” I cry, sitting with Adam in his hotel room.
“How? You beat everyone who skated against you! That’s a piece of crap. There has to be some mistake,” Adam replies.
“Well, the results show that I am first, not second, not third. Somebody tampered with the scores. And we’re going to find out who it was,” I say with a determined look on my face.
“Wait...what if it was Nina? That little brat messed with the scores so she could go to the Olympics!” Adam shouts. “Go talk to her, and record what she says with your phone.”
“Where’s mah phone?”
“Right here. Go kick some ice,” Adam hands me my phone.
“I’ll be back. Hopefully in one piece.”

“Nina, we need to talk.” I demand, barging into her hotel room.
“Not right now. I need my beauty sleep for the medal ceremony tomorrow. Congratulations on the gold, but you’re not going to the Olympics. I am.”
“You mean…you tampered with those scores?”
“Exactly. Now leave,” she declares snootily.
