“Knock knock! Room service is here!” I hear a voice shout from the outside of my hotel suite. I throw on my robe and scurry to the door. Adam is standing in the doorway, holding hot platters of food.
“Thanks Adam. But what is that?” I ask, pointing to a bowl of noodle soup with vegetables, egg, and tofu mixed in it.
“Well, in case if you forgot dummy, we’re in Japan for the Junior Worlds,” Adam teases.
Oh right. My mind blanked that we are staying in Tokyo for the Junior World Figure Skating Championships this year. The jet lag and time change really gets to me.
“Uh, thanks,” I say to Adam, taking a bite of my oriental breakfast. It actually tastes good though. “Now come on, finish eating and get dressed. We’re going to see the city today!” Adam exclaims.
“I’ll be ready in twenty minutes,” I tell him.
