I ran as far as my legs could carry me. I ended up stopping at an abandoned farm somewhere in the woods. I was quiet and peaceful. Luckily whoever owned it still had food and running water, so maybe it wasn't abandoned at all.
I ate quickly and drank enough water to have to pee a gallon or bucket full.
When the door swung open, I knew I was in trouble. But maybe if I explained my situation they'd understand.
A man and woman stood at the door in horror at me just sitting there eating what little I could.
"Who are you?" The man growled.
"My names.... Sam." I lied. "I need help, please. Do you have a phone?"
"No, we don't." The woman whispered approaching me slowly. "Are you hurt?"
"I'm pregnant. And I'm tired. I was kidnapped, I need to get home."
"Where's home?" The man arched his brow.
"Monroe city."
"Your in Horton valley." The woman explained calmly.
"I'm from here, but I don't think I've ever been to this part." I frowned laying my head down on my arms.
"We can take you to town. That's as far as we can take you though." The man nodded.
"Thank you." I whispered jumping up. "I'm sorry I stole your food. I can pay you back when I get home."
"No worries." The woman smiled.
The man walked me outside to his truck and drove me to town. He dropped me off at the police station, but I ran towards chels house instead to see if she was still here.

I knocked on her door out of breath from running. Her mom answered and wrapped me into a hug.
"I'm so sorry about your grandmother." She whispered.
"I'm ok. Is chels here?"
She nodded her head and let me inside taking me to chels room.
"Oh my god. Laura!" Chels jumped up wrapping me into a hug. "Where the hell have you been!?"
"I moved." I shrugged. "I'm dating someone now. But I need help right now."
"Ok..." she paused looking me up and down "with what?"
"I need to get back to Monroe city. I'll explain everything but please."
"Ok. Let me grab a bag. The city is an hour away." She dug through her closet for her purple duffel bag to stuff some clothes and stuff in. She reached inside her box on her desk and grabbed every bit of money she saved up and stuffed it all into her jeans.
It took twenty minutes for her to get ready. She waved bye to her Mom and we drove off.
"Can I borrow your phone?"
She nodded her head and handed it to me.
"So dish."
"Well I'm dating a guy who helped me get away from my moms husband. They murdered my grams and they were after me. They were trying to marry me off to a gang leader for his son. They had me for two weeks or three, I don't know. I escaped and some people dropped me in town." I tried to keep some out of the story but she read between the lines like always.
"Your dating a gang member, aren't you?" She smirked.
"Yes. His name's bran."
"Brandon Mason!?" She looked at me sideways then back to the road.
"You know him?"
"Everyone does." She laughed.
"I'm also pregnant by him." I shivered turning on her heat.
"Has he been looking for you?"
"I don't know." I shrugged. "Possibly. But I was somewhere remote, private."
"Call him."
She didn't have to tell me twice. I dialed his phone, but it went to voicemail. So I tried again. This time a sad voice answered.
"Hello?"
"Bran?" I whispered.
"Yea, who's this?"
"It's me. Laura."
Silence.
"Bran!" I shouted.
"Don't play with me right now." He sighed on the other end. "My girlfriends probably dead. I've tried to find her for weeks."
"I'm not dead though. I'm on my way back to you."
The line went dead. I looked at the phone and chels phone died. I was starting to wander if he believed I was alive. I probably should be dead, but I'm not. I'm free. And I had to get home.

"Here." Chels smiled widely. "Where are you staying?"
"You see that big building down there?" I pointed towards the hotel. "There."
"Roger that." She sped up a bit until we reached the hotel parking garage. She pulled in and shut off the car.
I looked around and noticed a few people standing around talking.
I climbed out and approached cautiously. Sunny turned around and her eyes grew wide.
"Laura!" She jumped on me squeezing me until I couldn't breathe. "We thought you were dead."
"I'm here." I whispered. "Also please release me. I'm pregnant."
She laughed and let go. "Who's this?"
"Chels, sunny-sunny, chels."
"Welcome chels." Sunny beamed. "Follow me. Bran has been upset the past few weeks. We tried to look for you, but they moved from every location they had."
"I was in Horton valley. Somewhere in the woods." I explained.
"Interesting." Sunny stroked her chin.
The elevator ride up to the top floor didn't take long at all. When the doors opened Jerry and his wife were sitting on the sofa with a map laid out.
"Put everything away!" Sunny shouted. "You guys should come see this."
Everyone who was up here ran towards the elevator and almost fainted when they seen me standing beside sunny.
"Your alive." Jerry smiled grabbing me into a hug. "Welcome home."
Bran was the last person to join the commotion. His eyes grew wide and mouth fell open. "Laura." He breathed and ran towards me lifting me up refusing to let go.
"I told you I was coming." I chuckled a little.
"We need to know what happened." Jerry interrupted. "And who she is."
"Oh, that's chels. Chels this is bran, Jerry and Breanna, brees parents."
"Wait, the Bree?" Chels chuckles nervously.
"Yes. The Bree." I nodded.
"Well it's nice to meet all of you." Chels waved.
"Come on, you can stay with me." Sunny grabbed chels hand and led her up to her room.
"Anyways, I was upset that bran was never here. I walked outside alone and seen my mom. Ben had a gun pointed at me then knocked me out. I woke up somewhere else in a room. I was locked in and the window wouldn't break. It was somewhere in the Horton valley woods. The gang leader Jacob senior said I was there to marry his son Jacob junior and give him an heir. I refused and said I was possibly already pregnant and they tried to test me which I also refused. I didn't eat for weeks or sleep." I frowned. "But a nurse came in for blood and I stole her needles. I escaped by stabbing Jacob junior and with my moms help. She's dead."
"We will look into the building in the woods and see if we get any hits." Jerry nodded patting my shoulder.
"You should rest sweet heart." Breanna smiled as best she could.
I nodded in agreement and walked up to the room slinging myself onto it face first. Probably a bad idea, but I was exhausted. I was out before bran came in.
