Christmas Eve
"Did you get everything?" Amber yelled from opening of the trunk.
"I think so." I sighed. "I'm like a huge whale, can you double-check?" I chuckled handing her the list.
She skimmed through it and checked the bags. "You're missing a cake."
"Oh, crap!" I took out my phone and called to the deli. "Hello, can you make a Christmas cake? It's for a party tonight."
"Yes. We actually have an extra, if you'd like." The woman answered.
"I'll be there soon." I hung up and climbed into ambers car and buckled up.
"Deli?" She asked climbing into the drivers' side. I nodded.
It's been good seeing Amber again, it's been months and we were both doing good. She moved to Horton valley a month ago, and we've been spending time together. She even signed on with bran as an extra doctor.
We pulled up to the curb of the deli and I climb out and walked inside.
"Hello. I called a minute ago about the cake?" I told the woman behind the counter.
She smiled up at me and held up a finger. She went through a back room and came back with a white box. Opening it she revealed a green and red cake. Half had half of Santa, the other had a tree that was decorated. "Like it?" She smiled.
"That's amazing!" I nodded.
"$24.43." She said typing on her computer. I took out the money and slid it over the counter.
I carried the cake outside and placed in the backseat where it wouldn't move.
We drove back to the mansion and walked everything inside. By everything, I mean I grabbed the cake while Amber grabbed the food.
Bran, mark, and mike ran outside to grab everything else. While all of us females are in here getting everything set up and ready for later.I've been wrapping presents for everyone with bran for the past two hours, only stopping when the kid sat on my bladder or I was hungry.
"Who's this for?" Bran held up a magic mirror that told you where invisible spots were on your face.
"Bree." I shrugged. "I overheard her the other day that she needed one. I told Breanna I would get it."
He laughed and wrapped it up and signed our names to it. "What time is it?"
"5:30," I said picking up my phone. "Everyone should be here soon. Are we done?"
"Yep. All done." He nodded getting up putting wrapped presents into a box to lug downstairs. He helped me to my feet and we walked downstairs putting presents under our tree.
The door knocked and everyone was here. Bree gave me a hug and rubbed my stomach laughing.
While everyone grabbed a plate of food and ate, Breanna was talking to me about wedding details. She was basically the planner for the whole thing and we agreed it'd happen after I had the baby. Since I'd long be fat.
After the party, we all exchanged gifts-although we won't open any until tomorrow. We told everyone bye and safe travels back home.Christmas Day
Waking up the next morning, all because of sunny yelling "Santa came!" Over and over again. She even had the audacity to beat on everyone's doors.
"Sunny?" I opened my door sticking my head out. "What the hell man?"
"Morning." She chirped. "Santa came!"
"She does this every year." Bran laughed climbing from the bed. "She's still a kid."
I chuckled grabbing my fuzzy robe and strode down the stairs slowly behind Lisa and her big belly while everyone else zoomed past us.
"Man, you girls are slow." Mark snickered.
"Just wait-" Lisa said holding up her finger. "When I reach solid ground, you better run."
"No, babe please don't." He frowned stepping back. "I'm sorry."
I laughed and almost peed when she lunged at him smacking him in the arm. "Don't call me slow." She growled.
"Present time." Sunny interrupted.
Her and Chelsea handed out presents to everyone. I mainly got the baby stuff and some new clothes for after its born. Bran got some cologne and some new clothes too. Lisa got the same thing I got.
Looking around the whole room, I was only missing three people. My gramps, my grams and even my mom in a twisted messed up way. This, these people-their my amazing, big, dysfunctional family. We all have a story.
"I just want to say that I love all of you." Sunny chirped up smiling.
"We love you too, sunshine," Bran yelled.
The whole holiday was perfect for a big unhappy, happy family. And I love every single one of them.*************
