My Horse's Angel

Chapter 22

After waking up at 6:40 I have a shower, get dressed and me and mum go downstairs to the shared kitchen diner. We see Suzy at the fridge getting some milk for her coffee and butter for her toast.

"Hi Casey, hi April!" She smiles to us.

"Hi Suzy!" Says mum.

"Hi." I say.

"April we have our own fridge freezer and a shelf in that cupboard with our last name on." She says pointing to a massive cupboard/pantry.

"Ok." I say simply. She gets out cornflakes from our shelf and milk from our fridge and makes us both a bowl.

"Here you go April." I take my bowl of cereal from her.

Her, me and Suzy sit down at a table together. Suzy saying hi to a few people on the way. There's a whole table area here. Back up my the fridges are ovens and kitchen surfaces.

At twenty to eight me and Suzy go in the car. We just talk a bit about films we've watched, other than that it wasn't that interesting.

"Thank you." I say getting out of the car.

"See you later!" She says before driving off.

Right then I'm engulfed in a warm hug.

"Hey beautiful!" Jase says, still hugging me. I'm really not beautiful, he doesn't need to always say that. Although, to be honest I do love it.

"Hi!" I smile at Kitty and Louie over his shoulder.

Jase pulls away, quickly pecking me on the cheek. Then he let's Kitty come and hug me too.

"I've missed you sooooo much!"

"I've missed you loads too." I smile. It's good to see them again, although I say them on Tuesday.

"Yeah, well it's Thursday now!" She laughs.

"Good for you to be back." Louie says to me.

"Thanks." I then turn back to Kitty. "Please say you're not busy after school?"

"I don't think so but I'd have to text my mum. Why?"

"Because I kind of threw a stop about getting the bus home, well two busses, so Suzy's going to pick me up after work. Her work doesn't finish till six and take about half an hour to get here. So I kind of said i'd go to town, the library or do or go anywhere with you or something. Oh, and Suzy lives there, she's the one who dropped me off."

We now arrive at the sixth form common room. "Yeah, I'll ask."

"Are you guys coming? I ask Jase and Louie.

"Well I can't because I have to pick up my sister." Louie says.

"I probably can, i'll find out and tell you at lunch." Jase says and he takes us to their group, holding my hand.

I feel a bit awkward now, I'm not used to stoking around them. They're popular.

"Oh look who it is! It's Japril together! Where've you been April?" Rob says.

"I was ill." I answer, which I was. There's no need to tell them my life story that they don't want to hear.

"Fair."

After minutes of random chatting it's time to go to lesson. Good I have art, which is actually decent.

Break was spent the same as before school and lunch was just me and Kitty. It's now after school and Me and Kitty are waiting for Jase.

"Hey, sorry to keep you waiting." He says and kisses me.

We get to the library in town and start doing revision. Luckily it doesn't shut until 6:15pm.

"Sppppt!" Jase whispers and I look up from my work.

We are lying stomach down on the floor behind a bookcase. He slides a packet of Randoms over to me and gestures to give Kitty some.

Still deeply engrossed in her book (non-school related) I prod her.

Really, she doesn't notice?

"Spppt! Kitty!" Jase whispers from beside me.

Nope, no difference.

"Kit!" I whisper poking her constantly.

"Huh? what? Why you doing that for?" she whispers irritated.

Me and Jase share a look and quietly laugh. I then hold out the packet of Randoms.

"Oh." She laughs and takes some. I do the same and then hand them back to Jase.

We're waiting outside the library waiting to be picked up. We've all asked to me picked up so we just wait. Jase is sitting on a pole that's a kind of wall.

"Plans for the weekend guys?" He asks.

"Nil." Kitty says.

"Dunno but tomorrow I wanna see Emily, but that's Friday. You?"

"None." He says with a side laugh.

"How you getting home tomorrow then?" He asks after a while.

"I guess the bus." I say and kick a stone.

"Ha you don't like buses do you?"

"Not when I haven't been on them."

"If you want I could go with you, on the bus. I could get my mum to pick me up. She wants to meet you by the way."

"She does? But are you sure because it's half an hour away, and you won't be allowed to come in. Unless you wanted to wait outside and them come with me to the stables?"

"Yeah I could do that." He smiles looking into my eyes. Oh my gosh, one look from him could kill me!

Kitty's dad's car pulls up.

"Well that's me!" She says.

"Bye, go on Facebook!" I say hugging her.

"Yeah, see ya! See ya Jase!"

Right before she closes the car door she gives us a wink and sticks her tongue out. Classic Kitty as always.

After about three minutes his mum pulls up.

"That's my mum, come say hi?"

"Sure."

"Mum this is April!" He says as he opens the passenger door.

"Oh hi April! I've heard a lot about you!" She says

She's seems very friendly and caring. She has a nice body, not dead skinny but not too big and with curves in app the right places. She has a good amount of meat on her that makes her look great and healthy.

"Hi!" I say trying to be polite.

"So how are you now sweetheart? I heard about what happened. I'm sorry!" She says looking concerned.

Speaking of that makes me realise my headache. I didn't realise a minute ago because Jase and Kitty managed to take my mind off of it. That was after they made sure I was ok. They did like and examination on me "how many fingers am I holding up, what's the pain on a scale of 1-10, do you feel dizzy, have some water, that feel better? Checking my temperature with the back if their hand and everything! Some people need to calm down!

"I'm feeling a lot better now thanks." I smile.

Then Suzy's car pulls up behind them.

"That's Suzy I better go, bye."

"Nice talking to you!" Says his mum.

"You too!" I smile.

Jase kisses me and gets Into his car. "Bye April!"
