Mr. Grayson throws the ball into the air. Carrie immediately puts it into her possession.

They play on.

22:14.

Hana was dribbling to the other side. As she scores a normal two-point shot, Rubye receives the ball. Mharsha blocks and does a pretty great job at it as Coach Abbott was one second away from blowing his whistle.

"Free throw - Campana!"

5:16.

Patrisha was dribbling. As she attempts a three-point shot, she misses completely. Luckily, Vick takes it back and shoots, once again from the three-point line.

"Nice!" shouts Patrisha.

"No time to chat, we gotta focus!"

And I'm not throwin' away our shots. Even if I did just throw my shot away from me.

I better do a slam dunk some time.

Cangrejo: 47

28:39.

Rubye passes to Andrea, only for Angelika to jump in and dribble to the other side. As soon as she releases the ball to shoot, Vick intervenes and dribbles to the other side.

"Dorothy Spears, this is your first foul! Two free throws have been awarded to Casa de Campana!"

Don't worry if I commit a foul. Your breath smells foul.

32:49.

Angelika passes to Kat, who was now on the three-point semicircle. She holds it with two hands. After Rubye blocks her, Kat dribbles a few more steps forward. At the same time, it turns out the other four members of the Cangrejo team were at the four corners of the half-court.

"Cangrejo, this is your first team foul," says Coach Abbott. "Campana, this is your third foul. Jump ball!"

Grayson throws the ball in once again. Angelika grabs the ball, holding it by her fingertips, and throws it at the other hoop. She scores.

"Wrong hoop, Angelika," reminds Rosa.

"Whoops," she responds, chuckling away.

36:41.

Vick was dribbling to the other side. As she passes to Carrie, Angelika swoops in, dribbles, and passes to Kat, who scores.

Kat must've been thinking, "My Angelika's expectin' me." Not Eliza, though, sadly. There isn't an Eliza on the other team to begin with.

19:50.

Carrie was dribbling. She passes to Andrea, but as she releases her shot, it hits the rim of the basket. Rubye takes it again and attempts another time. As soon as Vick takes it and shoots, this happens:

Coach Abbott blows his whistle. "Time's up! Off the court, girls!"

"GG," says Ann, who was watching.

"Angelika though," says Ykielle.

"Kobe," responds April.

"SOMOS LUCHADORES, CAMPANA!"

"CANGREJO DESTRUIROS A TODOS!"

Vick, after taking a couple of heavy breaths, looks at the final scoreboard.

Cangrejo: 79

We won by ONE point.

"Good luck with Mandee over in Crucifijo next round," says Ann, drinking Jatorade.

"Good luck winning the one- hundred metre dash," replies Vick. "And you too, Navio."

"That's soon, right?" asks April.

"Yep. Well, the boys are still doing their battle for third. Campana and Crucifijo."

"Navio won against Campana, right?" asks Ykielle.

"No, they won against Crucifijo. Pretty weird when you see how it's all Cangrejo vs. Crucifijo in the finals, right?" says Ann.

"Yeah, right? C! R-U-C! I-F-I! J---O! CRU-CI-FI-JO!" she shouts. "C! R-U-C! I-F-I! J---O! CRU-CI-FI-JO!" every other crucifijo in the area repeats.

"What's left besides basketball girls and football boys?" asks April.

"Badminton and the hundred-metre dash," answers Ann.

"Oh, yeah, badminton! We should go watch Sandee!"

Ann gulps down some more Jatorade. "Well, I'm interested in watching football. See ya."

Vick catches up to April. "Wanna come watch football?"

"Eh, sure. Fine. Whatever."

"Poor Sandee," says Ykielle.

I better head off to the field now.
