While May began unzipping bags, settling back into her room, Mettaton was downstairs in the living room, handing April a few papers. April took the papers from him quizzically. "What all this Robo Boy!?" Mettaton shushed her and urgently pushed the papers in her hands. "I just think these will help clear up any confusions you might have had." He knew he was being vague, but he couldn't risk May coming down and see him giving these to April. "Whatever you giant hammer in hair gel." April wanted to act like she didn't care...but her curiosities were getting the better of her. She looked through the papers in shock. This little side by side story was so sad! Mettaton whispered something into her ear. "Oh my god, May told me about how she thought I was doing everything better than she is, but I had no clue it was this bad!" "Yes, but with a little push, I believe we can help her turn it into this," He showed her another paper with the cartoon sketches he drew. This gave April an idea. "What if, we get her to throw a party, and then when she sees how many people show up, she'll know how much we all care about her,"

8:47 AM

Mettaton opened the door to May's room. "Hey, breakfast is ready," May buried herself under the blankets. "No thank you," The sound of her growling stomach felt like an earthquake inside her skull. "Come on, you've had a rough day, you deserve a little treat," He slowly pulled the blanket away, revealing May's little head, and held out a few marshmallows. She looked up to see not just num nums, but some of the world's most delicious num nums! "Thank you," she swept them out of his hands and began munching on them like a little squirrel. "There's more in the kitchen," May looked down. "May, what's wrong?" She looked into his eyes. "I weighed myself this morning. 86," Great! Just when she was doing so well with eating food, she thought she was getting fat. "I'm probably too heavy for you to carry," As soon as those words left her mouth, she was swept out of bed. "Nonsense! Carrying you is easy! 'Cause you're so small, so light," he gently tossed her just to prove his point. She seemed to fear being dropped despite just barely leaving his arms. Both of their thoughts were interrupted by an itty bitty baby sneeze. Mettaton set her back down in bed and placed his hand on her forehead. It was a little warm, but this fever wasn't as bad as the ones she had in the last...5 months, once in September, once in October, once in December and twice this January, including this one. "May...this is another reason food is important. It's not normal for someone to fall ill this often. If you're not eating enough, your body is defenseless," All he got as a response was a few quiet, high pitched sneezes. May tried to sit up, but Mettaton lay her back down. "You don't have to come down. I'll bring breakfast up to you," He left the room and closed the door behind him.

8:49 AM

Mettaton opened the door to May's room and saw her sound asleep, or she was, before her growling stomach woke her up. He set the plate down on a tray next to her bed. For a bit, May just stared at the meal. "Looks, so, yummy, must, not, give, in," she thought. There were two voices inside her head. One was telling her to eat, the other saying it was a trick. As if Mettaton could hear them, he cut into the pancake stack and held out the pieces on a fork. May reached out her hand, took the fork and nom! After swallowing that one bite, she began to drift off to the dream world. "Hey, you need more than just one bite," Mettaton pet her head to keep her awake. A few more bites, and May was feeling stuffed, but there was still so much left on her plate! "It's okay, you don't have to eat it all now. It'll still be here when you wake up," Mettaton lay her back down as she dozed off.

8:53 AM

April opened the door to find May in deep sleep, perfect! "Hey," she hoped this would work. "That guy is no threat to you anymore, maybe you should celebrate," May rustled around in bed. "Celebrate," she mumbled. It was working! "A party would be a good idea, maybe you can put up flyers at school," "..flyers.." "but it can't be at the condo, no, you must throw it at the party house," the squad had another house specifically for throwing parties. If it was just them and close friends, it would be at the condo, but if it were local fans, people they didn't know, such as on Halloween, it would take place at the party house. "After the babies' birthday, but before yours," With that, April walked out of the room and closed the door carefully.
