A makeshift stage had been built on the grassy fields of the school's campus. Everyone was getting into position. The show didn't start for around another 15 minutes, but there were already some students in the audience, the front row, a few feet behind the judges' table, where Mettaton, Papyrus, and Napstablook were getting ready. May wanted to hang out with Mettaton before the show started, but she couldn't get near him without sneezing every 4 seconds. He had sworn to never wear cologne again when he found out she was allergic to something in it, and he never did, until today. He didn't seem to be aware of it either. May turned to April and bent her eyebrows. "It's for your own good," April whispered. What did she mean "for her own good"? Deterring her from the one person she knew would never hurt her? How was that good? "What are you waiting for? Go punch her," there was the devil. "Don't you dare. If you cause any trouble with April, you'll both be disqualified," the angel told her. May listened. Getting revenge on April was not worth the risk of getting disqualified.

Everyone was in their seats. As the sun set behind the stage, the announcer walked out from behind the curtains. The spotlight showed a tall man in a classic tuxedo, the light was too low though and you couldn't quite see the man's face. "Ladies and Gentlemen, Monsters and Humans! We welcome you to the First annual Talent show of Redwood Pines!" The crowd cheered. The devil bent her eyebrows. "Monsters?! Tackle him to the ground." May and the angel both shook their heads silently. Angel: 2, devil: 0. "For our first act of the night, we will ALWAYS keep this big sister in our hearts. Its Cleo Anderson!" Again loud cheers and clapping came from the audience, it somehow got louder when Cleo entered stage right. She wore a black cardigan, a white crop top, a black tiered skirt, and black wedge sneakers. She strummed the guitar and the crowd went silent. "When the world gets too heavy put it on my back," her fingers danced on the strings, not missing a single chord. "I'm a fly that's trapped in a web but I'm thinking that the spider's dead," she had to stop a few tears from leaving her eyes. The song felt so true to her life. "That I'm skin on bone, just a king and rusty throne, oh, the castle's under siege, but the sign outside says leave me alone," she strummed the final chord and bowed the best she could with a guitar wrapped on. The announcer returned. "I'm not crying...You're crying!" That's just what the crowd needed to lift their sprints a little. Cleo's voice was so pretty, and everyone could feel the emotion pouring out of her, it was so easy to get caught up in all those feelings. The soft laughter from the crowd faded and the announcer began again. "I wish I could tell you that this next performer will lighten the mood, but this next song may be even more depressing than the last. And the performer is just as stunning as Cleo! Please welcome Ari Osmond!" Polite applause followed Ari out onto the stage. But the crowd erupted when they saw her outfit. She wore the same dress as Katniss did for the pre-game interview. The music began. "Are you, are you, coming to the tree? Where a dead man called, out for his love to flee, strange things did happen here no stranger would it be, if we met, at midnight in the hanging tree," about halfway through the song, the crowd began to sing with her. She bowed and exited stage left. The announcer came back. "I don't know about you folks, but Ari's dress and voice were the bow and arrow and that song just pierced me right in the heart!" The crowd broke out in applause. The announcer touched a hand to his ear. "Uh, I'm just now getting a message that we should take a brief intermission due to some...uh...technical difficulties." Before he finished, Bella burst through the curtains and stumbled into the middle of the stage, her clothes and hair were a mess as if she just got into a scruff. "Um, this is--" Bella snatched the mic. "Hey, it's Bella, and I am here to show you guys true talent that these kongo bongos lack!"
5:38 PM
Security managed to get the wannabe Barbie off the stage. "Alright, now that that's taken care of, we've met the big sister, now we're gonna meet the little one. I present to you, Maddie Anderson!" What kind of intro was that? Maddie was way more than Cleo's little sister! Oh well, time to go wow people. Now to make a proper entrance, she couldn't just walk onto the stage like everyone else, no. She backed as far away as she could to get as much momentum as possible. Running start, roundoff, back handspring, back tuck, backflip, full, and stick the landing! Super awesome, especially in her shiny silver 2 piece leotard, or at least the top was silver with black shorts. Maddie then went up to the microphone and took it off the stand with a flourish. The music began. She started with smooth movements. "I used to roll the dice, feel the fear in my enemies eyes," She began doing the gymnastics part of her routine, replacing the moves that required hands with the no-handed versions of those moves. "I hear Jerusalem bells are ringin'," she missed the landing on a full that didn't have enough momentum, but she didn't fall so hopefully no one noticed. Maddie looked out to the crowd and connected eyes with Cleo. Cleo looked at her with a beaming smile. Maddie felt if her sister believed she could do it then nothing could stop her. Maddie then went into another flip than landed into splits. "Be my mirror, my sword, and shield," she kicked one of her legs forward, hauling herself up. "Never an honest word, but that was when I ruled the world," The music faded as she bowed and made an exit just as fantastic as her entrance. "That was really flippin' amazing! Our next act will certainly rewrite the stars. Cute story behind them, a girl, who we'll see shortly, knew 2 people and thought they were made for each other, so she arranged a blind date, they've been together ever since, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Evelyn Dubious and Maxwell Kendrick," The two walked onto stage, both had dyed hair, Evelyn's was a red-violet burgundy, and Maxwell's an aqua green. Both of them were wearing blue sparkles. May smiled from backstage, seeing the beautiful result of a factor in her world she had bent for the better. And she watched Evelyn on Aidem. That girl had some talent! Even better, she had been told that she was her inspiration! More importantly, time to watch them dance! "What if we rewrite the stars, say you were made to be mine, nothing could keep us apart, you'd be the one I was meant to find," the two glided across the stage. "All I want is to fly with you, all I want is to fall with you, so just give me all of you," they moved so fast, it was impossible to pick a highlight. Maxwell picked up Evelyn so she could touch the sky! The crowd burst into applause. The two bowed and walked off the stage. The anonymous announcer was back. "You couldn't ask for a better duo! Up next we have April Thomas who is really going to show off her...dark side." The little devil popped up on May's shoulder again but this dressed and Darth Vader, "Join the dark side." May waved her away. She couldn't help but be curious about how April's performance was going to go on. "There's a place that I know, it's not pretty there but few have ever gone," she looked at Papyrus and gave him a smile. She looked beautiful in her reverse school uniform. "Everybody's got a dark side, do you love me? Can you love mine?" a rose was tossed to her. Did Papyrus just wink at her? The Angel also dressed as Vader said in his spooky voice "See they love each other!" May waved her off as well, not needing the distractions. April walked off the stage, picking up the rose on the way, and giving it a sniff. May saw a soft smile on April's face. And it made her... happy to see April happy. The announcer interrupted her thoughts. "Sorry boys, it would seem that rose is spoken for already. Lucky for you this next performer is in her words "VERY SINGLE" and very ready to mingle. Please welcome, Grace Hilary." The crowd applauded and a large number of boys let out some hoops and hollers on the sight of Grace...and her outfit. "Wow, they're shocked? The twins are actually showing less skin than usual," And at least there was finally something covering that ass! Yay, no booty shorts. Naturally, since her song was about being left, the dance moves would be less sexual, less eye-melting. None the less the crowd, and by crowd mostly the guys, went wild. "Settle down boys, you are in for quite a surprise. No, you are not seeing double. There really is two of them. Give it up for Beverly!" Somehow, the boys got even louder when Beverly came on the stage with a cheeky wave to her new fans. The two kept switching positions before Beverly left. The music began. "Here's the thing, we started out friends," May knew she shouldn't be thinking this, but she liked the twins better when they just broke up. Why? Because they looked more approachable and the unsightly twerks were absent. "And all you'd ever hear me say, is how I picture me with you," Grace usually had great control with pitch and tempo, but here, she was just going all out, the crowd loved it. "Since you've been gone, I can breathe for the first time, I'm so movin' on, yeah yeah," she fought a few tears. What happened? She thought she was over him. "You had your chance, you blew it, out of sight, out of mind, shut your mouth, I just can't take it," as the music faded, she bowed and walked away. "Well, that was quite a show. And I bet you thought they were already gone? Nope! We still have to see the other one perform. Ladies and gentleman, Beverly Hilary!" the crowd was excited. Unlike the previous performers, the music began as she was walking onto the stage. "Remember all the things we wanted? Now all my memories are haunted, we were always meant to say goodbye," She started out soft, then transitioned to going all out. "You know that I love you so I, love you and now have to let you go," Why would she give up a good relationship? Well, she didn't. He had to leave the country. "But I want you to move on, so I'm already gone," she walked off the stage. "Sadly, those two can't get a guy to stay for more than a week. While the other squad members try to fix that, this one is trying to get girls to stop bothering with men altogether. Not everyone likes her beliefs, but we all love her style, please welcome to the stage, Ellie!" she walked onto the stage with high heeled combat boots, a black halter strap crop top, a black cowl skirt, and lots and lots of silver chain necklaces. "Hey good girl, your head in the clouds, I bet you I can tell you what you're thinkin' about," Her moves were very punk, very rebellious. "His lips are drippin' honey, but he'll sting you like a bee, so lockup all your lovin' go and throw away the key," She was awesome, but she seriously needed something else to focus on besides discriminating males. "Why? Why ya gotta be so blind? Won't you open up your eyes? Just a matter of time, 'til you find, he's no good, girl, no good for you, you better get your gettin' on your goodbye shoes," she marched off the stage, applause following her.
