Isabella's POV
I walked into the classroom and just as he should be, Aiden sat in the top right corner, putting his bag in the desk next to his. Fucker.
I walked up to my spot and threw my stuff onto my desk. He jerked slightly and looked up at me. He noticed my shirt and smirked. Then as if something triggered a memory, his face went to complete regret. "Munchkin, I'm so sorry." I roll my eyes, I didn't care at this point, I was pissed at him. He wouldn't dare touch me. "Sure you are." He looks down. "I am. I shouldn't have poured water over you, that was.." "Excessive." I finish off for him. He looks up and nods."I don't know what came over me, I thought it'd be a good idea." I scoff, loudly. I turn and look at him. "You seriously thought, that was a good idea? Did you not see the shirt I was wearing?" He shakes his head. "So many guys stared as you left, few whistled, one even tried to get my attention by moaning. It was disgusting and so embarrassing." He shakes his head. "I didn't want any guys to stare at you, that wasn't my intention." I shake my head, close my eyes and sit facing forward. "Whatever." And he goes to defend himself but the professors quiet us down."Hope your guys' work has been going well.." Shit, we haven't tried any new recipes since Monday I think? "If not, don't worry, still have like nine weeks." I sigh, nine more weeks and then it'll be winter break. I can visit my Mama soon.
"Today, we'll be talking about our field trip. Yes, yes, I know 'a field trip in college what', no, everyone is partnered with someone who can drive. Most, if not all of you can. You will be sharing a car with your partner and we'll be driving to Chicago, Illinois. Has anyone heard of the bakery 'Fat Rice'?" I perk up. Only one of the best bakeries in America. I've always wanted to go. I look at Aiden who is already smiling and looking at me. I'm sure he's been.
"It'll obviously be an overnight trip, at least ten days. It will not be a vacation though, you will be learning, and will be taught many different ways to bake cookies, and cake, and more. It doesn't cost money since it's a class trip, but you will have one to two days where you can explore the city yourself, so I suggest bring spending money. You have this weekend to pack and we'll be leaving Monday, four in the morning." I laugh to myself lightly and look at Aiden. "You'll have to wake up early." I tease. He rolls his eyes. I widen mine. So does he. "Don't h-" I slap his shoulder. He shakes his head.
"If you cannot come, please talk to me at the end of class, get to work!" I turn to Aiden. "I'm still mad at you, but we're definitely taking your car." His face falls lightly. "I'm sorry for the water and I was already planning on taking my car." He smirks.
"Why do you think we're taking our cars instead of planes," I ask, changing the subject. He shrugs. "Probably because an almost twelve-hour car trip is easier and costs less, then a three-hour plane ride. Not everyone has that type of money and it'd bring us closer to our partners." He points to a pair who fight twenty-four seven. "People like them don't have anything done and fight the entire class. This will probably help." I nod. "Makes sense."
I turn to my notebook and I mean to start writing down ideas but my thoughts get the best of me. Who will we share rooms with? I doubt these professors are dumb enough to put a boy, girl, pair into a room. But what if they're gay or lesbian? Then they can't put girls together, or boys together. How in the world are they going to pair us up?!
I couldn't get paired with Aiden. He'd break down my walls. Everything I've worked against would come crashing down on me. I'd give in to his charm and I don't know if I could afford it. "Munchkin! It's nice to know you think of me, but I'm trying to get work done, I suggest you do the same." My eyes widen, oh so big. I said all of that out loud. He heard, all of that. Holy fucking shit. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I look at my blank notebook.
