Isabella's POV

As I walk onto the stage, shaking the dean's hand and receiving my diploma, I look out into the crowd to see Aiden sitting with Camila in his lap. She smiles as everyone claps. It must've intrigued her three-year-old mind. Aiden watches proudly as I walk down the steps on the opposite side of the stage. I was now twenty-two and Aiden was twenty-six. He was promoted to his own restaurant with his own chefs and workers. It was a cute little diner that quickly became popular.

The ceremony is over and Aiden runs to me with Camila in Ma's arms. I jump up and hug him tightly. He grabs my face, kissing me roughly. He puts me down and Camila runs into my arms. "Mama!" She yells before I lift her up into the air. I hold her on my hip. Alex comes up behind Aiden with Jonas in his arms. He sets Jonas in the grass. Rose comes running behind me, jumping into Alex's arms. They do as Aiden and I had. "Mommy," Jonas yelled. She smiles and picks him up. He was only one year younger than Camila but they were best friends.

My brother and his family congratulate me. Ma does too. I look up to the sky. "I did it Abuela," I whisper. Aiden smiles pulling Camila and me into a hug. Kyle, Vienna, and their kids Valentina and Lukas come up to hug me. I hug them all smiling. Kyle gives me his bone-crushing hug. "I'm proud of you Abeja," We get into Aiden's car as the others pile into Carlos'. Alex and Rose wanted to come over, but Rose's family flew out and they decided to go to their own house. Kyle and his family go back to their hotel. They have a flight back to California tonight.

As we pull into our driveway I get out smiling uncontrollably. "I did it Aiden. I'm done with school forever." He smiles. "That you are." We walk into the house, hand in hand, Camila, atop Aiden's shoulders. The rest of my family follows in. Camila plays with Shadow and Akira as I change into a more comfortable outfit.

I come out and grab a glass of cranberry juice. Aiden hits his glass lightly with a spoon. Everyone looks at him. "A toast to my beautiful wife. She finally graduated hell and is now here in the real world." He looks at me. "It is going to be tough, but I'm going to be by your side the entire time. No matter what." Everyone coos, clinking glasses. I blush and kiss Aiden.

A few hours pass and my Ma and her husband Antonio walk to their house as Carlos drives home. I feed Camila and put her to bed. I strip and pull Aiden's hoodie over my body. I lay down and Aiden quickly pulls my body into his. He rests his hands on my stomach. "I can't wait for this new chapter of our life. We're married, done with school, have a child, and we're bringing another little rascal into our family." I smile as the baby kicks. It was a boy and we already decorated the guest room into a baby's room. Aiden's words hit me like a ton of bricks.

The American dream for any living, breathing person is to have a good ending. A good ending though does not come without, hard work, effort, guilt, death, sweat, tears, loved ones, and dedication. Life can never be perfect, but because I've worked so hard for this ending, I get to call it a happy one. I can call it my kind of perfect. I've dealt with enough death to make me unhappy. But I worked through it. I've cried, sweated, and worked so hard to the point of passing out. But I did it for this moment. This exact moment. This is where I'm supposed to be. I'm home.

As time goes by, you change, you learn new things, your attitude is different. That is exactly what happened to both Aiden and I. Because of each other's presence, we were able to change for the better. Aiden turned my life around and made it to where it's at now. I will forever be in his debt. I could never pay him back, but for the time being, "I love you Aiden. Thank you for this amazing life we couldn't have created if it weren't for you and your perseverance. You're perfect." He smiles against my neck.

"I love you too, Goodnight... Munchkin."
