Isabella's POV
I wake up with a small headache. I look out the window and see it's bright outside. I shoot up, what time is it?! I look for my phone and can't find it. My heart rate increases, but I try my best to stay calm. I walk out the door and see Aiden's bed made, but no Aiden. I look at the bathroom, and the door was open. I look in the closet but it was empty. Now maybe it's time to freak out? I go back to my room and put some shorts on. I put on slides, and then start walking toward the door. I open and then close it. As I walk down the hallway, I see a figure at the other end. My heart increases speed even more, and if it speeds up anymore, I'm going to die.
I walk calmly to the right side of the hallway and keep my head down. The guy gets closer and grabs my arm. I pray that it's Aiden, and I look up. "Where's your guy friend? Hm?" The man asks. He had to have been in his late forties. I look the man in the eyes, then pull my arm away. "Who are you and why do you think you can just grab me like that?" I ask, really wishing I would've just stayed inside. He smiles evilly. "You don't remember last night?" I think about last nights events and it's still a little hazy. I shake my head. He smirks. "So, is the guy you were with yesterday, was he your boyfriend?" I look around the man and see Aiden coming out of the elevator. I look the guy in the eyes. "No, he's my husband. So if you don't leave now, he will hurt you." The guy snorts. "Where's the ring?" I take a step back.
"Right here fucker," Aiden says, stepping in front of the man. A split second passes before Aiden punches, hard. He stumbles back and touches his jaw. Where'd he learn to punch like that? "Y-you punched me!" He screams. Aiden laughs. "Maybe you'll think twice about following kids to their rooms," Aiden says defensively. I smile and wave at the man. He grunts then turns and leaves. Aiden pulls my hand and drags me back into the room. He slams the door, then looks at me. "Why did you leave the room?" He asks. "I'm a grown woman. I'm allowed to go and do whatever I want. I went outside to look for you. I didn't think some creep who supposedly knew me, was going to be outside waiting." Aiden sighs. He lifts up a bag. "I was getting us breakfast." My mouth forms an 'O' shape.
He sets the food on the bed then looks at me. "Yesterday when I took you to the drug store, that was the cashier. You were pretty shit-faced, and he thought I drugged you." All the memories come flooding back. From chugging the wine, all the way to me hugging him and calling him perfect. I blush, oh so hard. He looks at me curiously then smirks. I shake my head. "He just randomly assumed you drugged me, then was stupid enough to bring me to a store?" Aiden nods. "Not a very smart man." I nod. "Well, we should go tell the professors, and see what they want us to do. He knows where we're staying now. At least let's move to a new room?" Aiden nods. "They're in the little breakfast room the hotel has, come on let's go." I follow him down to the first floor, and to where our professors sat.
"Aiden, Isabella, glad to see you two are okay, you left pretty early." I nod, they didn't need to know I drank. "Did you need something?" Mr. Pavlovich asks. I nod. Aiden tells them the whole story, leaving out the drunk part, and the professors look at us wide-eyed. "Obviously you're getting a new room, but you'll have to pay for it. We have a budget, and if we pay anything extra, we can't take you to the bakery." I nod. "That'll be okay, I'm sure I brought enough extra money to pay for a room." They nod. "Good luck guys." Mr. Pavlovich says. We smile and start walking to the lobby. Aiden bends down to my ear. "You really thought I was going to let you pay?" I look up at him, questionably. He smirks then runs to the front desk. I run after him, but he hands the guy a credit card before I get there. I stomp. "Every fucking time. What is wrong with you?" I ask, my voice not loud, but not quiet either. The lobby guy looks at me weirdly. "What's shorty's problem?" He asks.
