EXTENDED PLOT:
Valerie's parents knew what she was even before she was born. Her father was able to transform into a wolf so they feared that she would too. Keeping her away from others was the only way to keep her and everyone else safe. But one day, instead of Gaius delivering her medicine, Merlin was in his place. His awkward charm and instance that she get out and explore with him made her forget everything her parents warned her against.
DIALOGUE:

EXTRA BITS:
*This is set after Merlin's encounter with Freya. So this can start in season 2 or 3.
*It will be mid-slow burn. He will at first not want to be in a relationship since he doesn't want what happened to Freya to happen to her.
*Her parents have Gaius make a potion for her to help her cope with her transformation. If she doesn't take it, she won't remember who she is and will try and destroy everything when she transforms. Or you can have it like the stories where her cloak is what keeps her from transforming. But I really like the idea with the potion. It was inspired by the Wolfsbane Potion that Snape provided Lupin, allowing him to retain his human mind during transformations, during the events of Prisoner of Azkaban.
