EXTENDED PLOT:
Ariel was a mermaid that loved the shore. She loved watching the people ride the waves. Even though she didn't know what they were doing or how they were doing it, she loved it all the same. When she sees ones of the men fall from his board and not rise from the water, she forgets all about the rules her father warned her about and decided to save the man's life.
EXTRA BITS:
*Yes, her name is Ariel but that doesn't mean she's based off Disney's version. Just thought it would be cute for that to be her name. It would cause most people in the story to joke about her name being the same as the Disney character. And it would just be really ironic that she is a mermaid too.
*You can make it to where her father is King Triton but that would just be too much. Maybe she is noble but not the princess. Like a member of the court.
*Keanu Reeves in Point Break was half my inspiration for this story. So Thomas Wells is played by a young Keanu Reeves. So that face claim cannot change!
*So this is pretty much the little mermaid with a surfer instead of a prince.
*So not long after they officially meet he teaches her how to surf. So that means she becomes the Atlantian Surfer. You can change the title though, it's not set in stone.
*This deserves a happy ending. She should become a human permanently to remain on land with Thomas. But that isn't the only reason she wants to stay. She falls in love with the land and suffering and doesn't wish to leave it behind to go back to a home she doesn't love.
