EXTENDED PLOT:

Joyce Stafford was never ready to be a mother. Her ex-fiance didn't want children, and an accidental pregnancy was his excuse to leave. But even though she struggled, she was a fighter. She fought to provide for her son while being a single mom. She fought to protect her son when the apocalypse came. And she fought to find her son when he and Sophia went missing in the woods.

DIALOGUE:

1 "I know it sounds crazy. I sound crazy. Do you think I don't know that? It is crazy! But I heard him, Rick! He talked to me! Will is calling to me, and he's out there, and he's alone, and he's scared, and, I don't care if anyone believes me. I am not gonna stop looking for him until I find him and bring him home! I am going to bring him home!" (Joyce)

2 "This is not yours to fix alone. You act like you're all alone out there in the world, but you're not!" (Rick)

3 "Fuck you and the horse you rode in on!" (Joyce)

EXTRA BITS:

*Absentis Filium is Latin for 'missing son'. Immortui is Latin for zombies or the undead. They're not exact translations since they can mean other things. You can change the title. I've just been addicted to Latin lately and have used that for a lot of my titles.

*I love Winona Ryder! I just knew I wanted to come up with a story with her as the face claim so this is what came to my mind. I would prefer her not to be changed. Noah doesn't need to be the face claim but it would work better if he was.

*The third quote she can say to Rick or Maggie. If she says it to Rick it would be at the beginning. She could have been with Morgan before leaving to help Rick. Or she could say it to Maggie when she's angry at her or as a joke.

*Will ends up goings missing with Sophia. You can decide if he survives or dies. But since Sophia died he more than likely will die with her. But it's your choice. They could get separated and he survives when she dies. I hate the killing off of children but it's up to you to decide his fate. I would love for him to survive but it is The Walking Dead.

*She and Carol form a bond since both of them are going through the same thing. And they both befriend Daryl because of his willingness to look for Will and Sophia.

*Her son, Will, loves Christmas lights so she puts them up after he goes missing in hopes that he'll see them and know that she's looking for him. She would place them in the woods and around the house so if he does she them he can follow them back. They, of course, will not be lit up because of the chance of them attracting Walkers. They would be like older and bigger Christmas lights that you see on Stranger Things, not the newer and smaller ones.

*She starts hallucinating hearing Will's voice. Kind of like how Rick saw Lori.

*So this can start in season 1 or 2. If it starts in season 1 you can develop her relationship with her son before he goes missing.

*Very slow burn romance. She and Rick won't really have anything going on until after Lori's death and still not for a while after that because he will be mourning her and not want a relationship. They could have an attraction to each other but not act on anything because he has Lori and she doesn't trust relationships after the failed engagement.
