ALEXA'S POV:
A few more rounds from the table to get the food, me and my brothers decided to stop. "Now what?" I asked in a boring tone. People here just dance, dance and dance. I'm not suprised if we are the only ones who actually eat here.
"Now we wait." Stone grinned. I frowned slightly, but let it be. My friends are nowhere to be found. Probably still dancing, or whatever.
The music suddenly stop and the lights dimmed. Our school's principal walked on the stage proudly. He grabbed the microphone and stands under the spotlight bringing the whole hall's attention towards him. His shoes and half bald head glimmering, blinding me and everyone in the room.
"I'm pretty sure this is the moment you all have been waiting for,--" I was about to listen more but Stone grabbed my hand and we walked outside. Hunter is not following us, but I didn't miss the little smirk on his face when we leave. Other than him, nobody else noticed us leaving.
"Hey where are w-" He shushes me and pulled me towards the middle of the hallway. He grabbed a lighter from his pocket and handed it to me. I took it but before I could even ask, he leaned down and picked me up before putting me on his shoulder. He pointed on the ceiling and I looked up. A fire sprinkler.
"Seriously? This is so old school." He was about to protest but his phone ring.
"Now? Ok."
I didn't ask him what does the call for, already catching on what's about to happen. I open the lighter, creating a faint clicking sound and put my hands up, making sure the the fire caused by the lighter stays right under the fire sprinkler.
And just like that, the water hit me straight in the face. But something was the different.
It is red. The. Water. Is. Red.
Stone puts me down and grinned at me. We quickly walked into the hall. The moment we opened the door, we burst out laughing.
It is a mess. No, chaos. Everyone in the room is either running, crying or doing nothing but stands in their place looking clueless as hell. The principal panicked. He ordered for everyone to run outside urgently. But halfway through his words, a security man came and whispered something in his ear. His face turned rigid and his head snapped towards the hall, eyes roaming as if looking for someone.
"Shit, that's our cue." Me and my brothers took off running.
"Catch them!!" The principal said with his finger pointing at us. We run outside with half of the school catching after us.
We run in the hallway and turned to the right towards the stairs. I guess all of us are too panicked to even notice where we're going because we're definitely not at the entrance of the school.
A string of curse words come out of Hunter's mouth like waterfall. While Stone looked frantically around us for a way out. I grabbed their arms and drag them towards an empty classroom. I run straight to the window and opened it. We're in the second floor, so the fall won't be that bad. Without a minute of hesitation, I jumped with my brothers close behind.
We run to our car and quickly got inside. Hunter inserted the key and in a matter of seconds, we're on the road. "What the hell are you guys thinking?!" I screamed from the backseat. "Dude, don't blame us. We don't know the security guard would do his job tonight!"
"Well, of course he would, idiot! Especially tonight!" I turned and looked behind the car. No one is following us and I let out a sigh. Now that we're in the car, I just realized how dirty my dress is. It's wet with red water. Or is it blood? I don't even know.
