Matty's POV

"Well, this is it. Welcome to my crib-o." I say, holding my hands out to the open space.

I can't believe I just said 'welcome to my crib-o." I actually wish I could go back in time and punch myself. Fuck, that's embarrassing and fucking cringe worthy. Thankfully, she doesn't say anything about it. She only smiles and looks around.

"It's beautiful, Matty. Much different than what I expected." She tells me.

"How so?" I ask.

"It's....minimalistic. I love it." She says, smiling widely.

I can't help but feel like a fucking dog when she tells me that she loves something of mine. I literally feel like a dog receiving praise from it's owner when she tells me shit like this.

"Thank you." I say, shrugging my coat and shoes off. "Can I get you something to drink?" I offer.

"What do you have?" She asks, doing just as I'm doing. When she takes her shoes off, I can see her fuzzy socks with little kittens on them. It's adorable. I miss finding fuzzy socks scattered across my house. Melissa only wears Nike socks. They're comfortable and all, but not nearly as cute. I guess socks should be the lesser of the issues in a relationship.

"Let's see." I say, walking over to the kitchen. "I have water, milk, Diet Dr. Pepper, and....wine. Oh, and champagne." I tell her.

"I'll have some wine." She tells me.

I go for the bottle and begin to pour her a glass. I make sure to give her the nicest wine glass I keep in this apartment. Most of my nicer glasses are in a storage unit in Vancouver. I just didn't have room for all of the shit I had when I was moving. Once I get hers, I begin to pour a glass for myself as well.

"Here you go." I say, walking over to the couch and handing her the glass carefully.

"Is this a good idea?" She asks.

No. No, this isn't a good idea. But, I want to be here with her right now. As much as I want to try and fight it, I can't. I fucking love Candace.

"Melissa doesn't have to know about this." I tell her honestly. As fucked up as it is, Melissa doesn't have to know about any of this. Actually, I don't want her to find out. Because as sad as it is, Candace is leaving after the month is over and Melissa is coming back. It's going to be as if this entire month never happened. Maybe in a fucked up way, it's easier that way.

"I'm talking about drinking red wine on a white couch." She giggles, and I feel all of the heat go straight to my cheeks.

"Oh. I...I thought you...sorry." I mumble, running a hand through my hair.

Wow. Way to go, Matty! You made yourself look like a complete fucking pig. Oh, and a dumbass.

"It's fine." She laughs, taking a sip of her wine. I watch as her lips go against the rim of the glass. A bit of the red liquid is left on her lips. She licks it off gently, and I feel my cock twitch at the look of it.

Fuck. I am terrible. I am a complete fucking pig. I need to calm down. More important, I need to get up and walk around before I get a fucking boner. That would just make all of this worse.

"Well, just so you know..." I say, jumping up and walking over to the cabinet that held a bunch of movies. "I have a leather couch. So, I think it's pretty stain resistant." I inform her, trying to come back form the fucking embarrassment."

"That's pretty good thinking." She laughs, taking another drink.

Don't look, Matty. Don't fucking look.
