Matty's POV
"So, this is the main office." I tell Evan as we walk out of my office and into the lobby. "Everything here is pretty small and quaint. It's easy to get around. Plus, everyone is super friendly."
"Wow." He says, looking around. He is truly amazed by everything I have told him or showed him. It's pretty nice, actually. He's really friendly. No where near the prick I assumed he would be. The girls that have been ogling him goes seemingly unnoticed. He just either smiles politely or doesn't even notice them. He is pretty fucking professional.
"We will go up to the next floor for a little bit. It's the media department. Finance is one floor under us. We'll go and see that one soon." I tell him, stepping onto the elevator.
"This is so different from Russia." He tells me. "Everything is so...big. In Russia, that is. This is like a big city, but with a small work environment. I love it. You barely get the opportunity to meet anyone in MagMedia." He informs me.
"Really? And you're like one of the head guys there. You don't know many people?" I ask, very surprised by this news.
"I barely know anyone. Everyone knows of me, but that's about it. It's just...different. I stay in my office for most of the day. I get emails from people, but I never really get to see them at all. It kind of sucks. I'm a pretty social person." He sighs. I can tell that he is going to get along with everyone just fine here. Even me. I really like him already. He just follows me and does what I say. He thinks everything is cool. He is just...laid back.
"Well, you will get to know everyone by the end of this month." I tell him with a smile. He smiles back and watches the area below as we climb the elevator.
We're on the media floor a few seconds later, and the difference in environment is clear. The cubicles and office space on this floor are close knit, and his eyes go wide. People are laughing and talking, but still getting all of their work done.
"Mr. Fain! We didn't know you were coming up today." Kristina chirps, walking towards us.
"Oh, we're just stopping in for a little while. Wanted to show Evan around the area. Kristina, this is Evan Maksimov. He is a part of the foreign exchange program for the company and will be working beside me for the next month. Think of him as you would me or Mr. Frailey. He is just as important." I tell her. Her posture instantly changes and she extends her hand out to Evan, shaking it professionally. I see her look him up and down. She even blushes when he flashes her his bright smile and dimples. Damn, these girls are going to fall for this kid.
"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Maksimov." She says.
"Please, call me Evan." He smiles.
"Evan." She repeats, pushing some hair behind her ear.
"Where is Clarissa?" I ask her, bringing her attention back to me.
"Uhm, I believe she's in her office. She's leaving notes for Holly once she comes up here." She tells me.
"Perfect. We'll be in there if you need anything. Nice seeing you." I tell her with a smile and lead Evan towards Clarissa's office. I hear the whispers from some of the girls as we pass. I knew this was going to be the floor that he got the most attention at. It's basically run by females. But, they definitely do the job better than any guy could. I think it's definitely their eye for design. They keep this entire floor running smoothly.
"Knock, knock." I say, lightly tapping on Clarissa's door before walking in. Clarissa doesn't even bother looking up. She already knows it's me.
"What's up, kid?" She asks, typing quickly at her desk.
