Cumber's POV

"Pass me the white ribbons please."
I stretch to pick them from Mars' palm who is busy blowing the balloons.

Can't believe a day like this five years back is when i had all the distress to deliver this beautiful angel, Ash.
The memories bang my head as if its just like yesterday.
Being a young mother, who would have imagined.

It all happened in a rush. As most cases.
Then having all the pressure in campus, thrill from how my folks would react and plus the douchebag father, Jude it was no oxygen.
I mean of course i had second thoughts from keeping it. But then here i am celebrating her five years of joy she has brought into my life.

I am so overwhelmed by the bravery decision i made. I couldn't been this far in life if i had done the opposite. Not that my life is perfect but am striving my all to provide her the best.
Rockaby baby.

"Hey, the cake guy is asking for your preference on the flavour and colour of decoration."
The guy in a cap points out.

"Tell him to fucking keep it as sweet as he can on the flavour. The colour he can rainbow it for all i care. I just want something beautiful. Nothing less."
I instruct.

"Woman you need to calm down. Its going to be the best day just relax."
Mars comforts.

She knows me too well. Too fucking well. Am nervous. There will be many people and that somehow makes me cringe.

I let out brief signs as i looked around searching for the transport guy i had asked to come.

Damn! Organising parties are one heck of a brain drain. No joke.

I saw Lance walk towards where we were seated.
"Hey Cumber."

I winked at him.
"Heey charming boy."

I swear i could feel Mars evil eyes on me.

He leaned lower and kissed Mars on the for head. The pink blush on her cheeks is so doll cute. I swear this man fucks her brains off to make he cringe whenever he is around.
Call it love effects.

To be honest, am so super happy to see her embrace whatever life has thrown to her. That's a beauty of having the mighty Lance son of the famous Mr Jones as her beloved boyfriend.

Seeing her smile makes my heart jitter with happiness that she got a yes in her life. Her past hasn't been sweet and i couldn't sugarcoat it otherwise but now i know everything happens foe a reason.

If she hadn't gone to bar that night alone she wouldn't have crossed oaths with him. If i had not convinced her enough to go to the street party she wouldn't have kissed him on that night. If she had not gone for the interview she wouldn't have gotten the job to be working with him at the company.

Wait! All those chances am the one who has widely contributed to her prince. Remind me why i don't have a gold medal for it; she deserves the 100%. That how i love this cherry.
