I woke up the next day exhausted. I'd cried so much during the night that my body had felt the need to reset and by the time I woke up, it was already quarter past twelve. Grimacing, I sat up and stretched my aching muscles; my legs stung from my walk to the roof yesterday.
I heard a voice echo around my room "Good afternoon Miss Parker."
My head shot up "JARVIS?" I stammered, looking around.
"Yes, Miss Parker. Miss Romanoff informed me that she left a pile of clothes outside your door, should you wish to have a shower."
I nodded slowly, "thank you JARVIS." I paused, "Miss Romanoff?"
"Miss Natasha Romanoff, Miss Parker." I nodded. "Thanks JARVIS."
I collected the clothes from outside and showered in the large ensuite, letting the hot water run over my back. I looked down at my palm and saw a small flower next to the cut from the mug that morning. I grinned. Life may suck, but my soulmate is back.

I stepped out of the lift and into the living room. Nat and Clint were sat on one sofa, playing a game on the tv opposite. Tony, Bruce and Peter were sat in a group of armchairs away from them, and I heard some science sounding talk float across the room. I walked slowly, unnoticed by the others.
Until, that is, Steve and the mystery man from the roof left the lift. I stared at him.He was wearing loose grey jogging bottoms, and a baggy black vest top, that didn't succeed in trying to hide any of his muscles. His left metal arm smoothly blended into his shoulder, and I followed his body up to his face. His hair was pulled away into a messy ponytail, and his bright blue eyes seemed to be hiding a smile, even though his body was stiff. I felt a slight blush on my cheeks as I noticed he was staring at me, and I bit my lip, avoiding his gaze.
"How are you feeling this morning Amelie?" Steve asked gently, his large hand squeezing my shoulder.
I nodded my head, "I'm okay thanks. Thank you for letting me stay here the night."
I saw Tony stand up and approach us, waving his arms around, "hey it's my tower!"
I smiled softly, "sorry Tony. Thank you," he grinned, and gestured to the pile of food by the sofas.
"Can we eat lunch now?"
Steve frowned "who was stopping you from eating?"
Bruce stood up and joined us as Nat paused the game, and we positioned ourselves around the boxes of pizza. "I thought we should wait for everyone." I blushed slightly, but didn't say anything as I helped myself to a single slice of pizza. I probably wouldn't eat it, but I hoped the others would be too preoccupied to notice.
"So the soulmate thing?" I glanced up at Nat, as she spoke. "We've not actually discussed the soulmate thing before have we?" The guys shook their heads and I frowned quizzically.
Nat coughed, "well I'll begin then shall I?" The room fell quiet as we watched her pull her ankle up. "I was born with this. And when I meet my soulmate, I gain their mark too." There was a small half moon and two stars on the inner ankle of her right foot.
I smiled, "that's a really nice one." I murmured and she smiled at me.
Peter was sat next to her, and he raised his arm so his sleeve fell away slightly. "The first words my soulmate will ever say to me is "who's that delicious Scooby snack yum yum?" I snorted, as did Clint and the others laughed. "Good to know they have a sense of humour I guess," Peter added quietly, before attacking another slice of pizza.
