~7 MONTHS LATER~
"You ready?"
I stared at Eve, my hairbrush stuck in a particularly big knot in my hair as my toothbrush hung out the side of my mouth, causing a trail of minty foam to drool down my chin.
"Does it look like I'm fucking ready?" I mumbled, though the toothpaste hindered my question, causing her to simply raise an eyebrow at me.
"Happiest day of your life, remember?" She grinned, bouncing Isaac onto her hip as he blabbered into her dressing gown. "You will look back on this day forever more-"
"Stop talking." I mumbled, as I felt the bubble of nerves ripple across my stomach. "I need to get ready before the stylist comes over. I'm in my pyjamas from last night, I need a shower and my hairbrush won't leave my head."
I tugged half-heartedly at the brush handle, causing Eve to smile softly. "Spit that toothpaste back in the sink, then come back here."
I did as she said, and when I returned to the hotel room Tony had treated me to, I saw Eve waiting patiently for me. Isaac was sitting on the bed, his stuffed pink elephant toy being pulled between his fingers before he wrapped his lips around the ear. He giggled as he saw me smiling at him, his mouth sucking on the fabric.
I was pushed onto the comfy chair by the window, where she gently guided her fingers through my hair. Within minutes the brush was on the table next to us, her hands on my shoulders as she guided me back into the bathroom. "Have a shower darling, then put these on."
She handed me a pair of soft cotton shorts and a loose vest, and then a silky dressing gown, matching the one she was wearing. "Go."
I had a long shower, letting the lathered soap clean my body as I let myself relax. I was marrying the love of my life in a matter of hours, but the nerves of the day going to plan was what made me feel a little nauseous. I was finally going to be married to my soulmate.
I dried my hair quickly, unable to remove the smile from my face as I watched it grow wider in the mirror.
Eve was giving Isaac a small bottle on the bed, her eyes trained on his closed ones as he sucked greedily, his hands clasping the rubber cap.
"Kathleen will be here in an hour. Do you want something to eat?"
I flopped onto the bed next to her, rolling my head to face her. "I'm ravenous."
Eve snorted, tapping her hand on the back of Isaacs leg. "Very ladylike."
"I'm a fancy lady." I grinned, letting my hand lift to stroke the soft dark curls that covered the top of Isaacs head. He definitely took after his mother in the looks department.
He rejected the bottle as I finally rang a pizza place, ordering a huge margarita pizza, planning on devouring the entire box. I ordered a Hawaiian for Eve, though I did so reluctantly. I was a firm believer that pineapples were definitely not meant to be at home on top of a cheesy pizza.
"Mumma," Isaac grasped his small fingers around Eves hair, causing her to hiss loudly in pain. I watched, amused as I waited for my precious food.
The phone rang minutes later, and I dragged my body across the room to the table it was housed on. "Hello Miss Parker, I'm just confirming you have several guests arriving today; a Miss Days, Miss Romanoff, Mrs Barton and Mr Parker."
"Yes, they should all be arriving today." I smiled, thinking of the wedding party that will drive with me to the venue.
"That's all, thank you and enjoy the rest of your day." I placed the phone down, and skipped to the door as the call from the delivery man sounded from the hallway.
