~Buckys POV~
I was woken up by a voice calling me. I sat up, wondering where the disembodied voice was coming from until I heard it again.
"Mr Barnes, Mr Parker requests you join him in the living room." I frowned, still not used to JARVIS, and swung my legs out of bed, pulling a jumper over my bare chest.
I entered the room to find everyone sat around the sofas. Everyone but one person. Amelie was missing. I frowned, but approached them nonetheless. Maybe she's joining us too?
"Finally," Tony dragged the word out, and I rolled my eyes as I sat next to Steve, accepting the coffee from him.
"Guys. Please, Amelie's in the shower but as soon as she's finished she'll probably come in here so we have to hurry up." Peter sounded slightly panicked and I eyed him curiously. What was so wrong that we couldn't tell Amelie?
"Come on kid that girl takes ages to shower, we have time." Tony said, leaning back. I didn't agree with Stark a lot, but I had to on this one. Amelie would disappear announcing a shower and return hours later.
Peter glared at him and continued. "It's Amelie's birthday in two days time. She'll be 20. We need to do something. What with Aunt May and everything this will probably be like, her worst birthday ever so we need to plan something special."
I stared at him. It was her birthday? She never mentioned anything. And all she does is talk. I furrowed my eyebrows, I have to do something. What could I get her?
I walked over to the kitchen and stopped as I felt a short sharp pain in my leg. I rolled my trouser up and saw a small cut. What was she doing? I grabbed a marker from the side and drew a quick smiling face before yanking my bottoms down and collecting a fresh mug of coffee.
I sat down as Peter began the planning stage. "So I was thinking we have a party here? There's loads of room, we could have it downstairs?"
Tony nodded "there's the actual party room, she'd probably like that. Staircases everywhere, balconies. Dark corners..." Steve shoved him before he could continue and I narrowed my eyes at him. No one else noticed so Peter continued.
"Thanks Mr Stark. Right, so presents? What do people want to do? Our own thing or a group, or no presents? Wait, she has to have something."
Nat rested a hand on his shoulder. "I'll get her some clothes, don't worry. The guys can figure stuff out to get her. Tony can flash the cash. Do you know what you're getting her?"
Peter nodded and relaxed. "Okay. So food?"
Tony waved. "I have kitchen staff, they can cater. I'll work out food choices. Nibbles yeah? Or a sit down?"
Peter thought for a moment "Nibbles. Music?"
Clint yawned and waved "I'll sort it." The others looked at him.
"Are you sure?" Nat asked.
Clint glared at her "yes I'm sure."
Peter rolled his eyes. "I was thinking for it to be a surprise? We have to keep her busy, and make sure she has a dress to wear, or whatever." He waved his hand before squeezing his hair.
Again, Nat came to the rescue. "I'm busy during the day but before the party I can help her change and makeup and stuff. I'll get her a dress as part of my present."
Peter smiled "thanks Nat. But who'll keep her busy during the day? We'll have to decorate the place and gifts and stuff. Who should distract her?"
Don't ask me why I did what I did next. I took a huge gulp of coffee, looked at everyone and said "I'll do it."
