I stared at my desk. A small silver trophy, plush teddy bear and a single rose where sat looking back at me. I grinned - they were the remains of last nights date with Bucky.
I pulled a jumper on over my pyjamas and plodded into the living room, where most of the avengers were already sat, looking tense.
"What's going on?" I sipped my tea, eyeing them suspiciously.
"Why don't you tell her Peter?"
"Tell me what?"
Tony sighed as Peter turned to face me. "I let Wade stay the night."
I nodded slowly "okay."
"In my room."
"Okay."
"And apparently the avengers feel the need to give me a lecture on safe sex."
My face blushed and I stared at him before looking at the others. "Do you really want to give the lecture?"
Tony sat facing me this time.
"What about you? You're hiding a fancyman. Do you need the talk?" The lift doors slid open and Steve and Bucky, the last two avengers, entered the room."What do you mean, I'm hiding a fancy man?" Bucky looked at me and slowly slipped behind Steve into the kitchen before emerging into the living room. I was stood behind Peter, clutching my tea.
"Where were you last night?" Tony asked.
"I told you, I picked up an extra shift at the bar."
"Oh really? Because I rang you at the bar, to see if you would make your cocktails once you got home, but nope. They said no one dropped a shift and you hadn't gone in." I gulped. He really had caught me out on this one. "I was all ready to send the Iron Legion out to hunt you down, before our capsicle here told me you were on a date."
I whirled around and gasped, "Steve! You told them!"
Steve looked guilty, "I'm sorry Amelie but you weren't here. He was threatening to call the police."
I rolled my eyes as Tony continued.
"So who was the lucky guy?" There was a mischievous glint in his eye, and I knew he wasn't angry.I shook my head "no, we're not doing this." I sunk down next to Nat who patted my leg comfortingly.
"No, come on just one clue." Tony continued.
"No."
Tony persisted. "Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with a-"
"Fine. He comes into the bar a lot. We've been talking for a little bit and he asked me on a date, that's it."
Everyone grinned as Tony sighed. "Really? I really thought you and snow cone here were getting along."
I raised my eyebrows as Steve sent a warning "Tony."
Tony sighed and pulled a wallet out of his pocket, and began handing money out. I watched confused as the others exchanged their notes. "What's going on?"
Nat grinned as she pocketed a twenty. "He bet that you were with Bucky last night"
I blushed furiously and sent a look to Bucky who, to everyone else. looked bored, but there was a hint of concern in his eye as he locked eyes with me. "You're having bets on who I go on a date with?"
Clint grinned as Sam handed him a tenner "they have bets on everyone. Seeing as I'm, and now Peter I guess, are the only ones to find our soulmate, they bet on every date, every kiss... everything."
