~Bucky's POV~
Seven steps. All I needed was to follow the seven steps to pull off this proposal.
Step One: Make sure Amelie has the next two days off work.
Our bedroom was loud with the sound of Amelies shower, and her off keys singing to a band she'd been playing on a loop for the past three days. I made sure to wait until she inevitably dropped the shampoo bottle after she used it, like she did nearly every time she showered, before I left and sat down in our kitchen.
"Hello, this is-"
"Eve, I know. Hey, I need to ask a favour and you know I wouldn't unless it was important." I waited as there was a pause.
Her voice was tired when she answered, although it was laced with a fine rim of panic. "Is that Bucky? What's wrong, is Amelie okay?"
I grinned, breathing out. "She's perfect. That's what the favour's about; she needs to have the next couple of days off."
"What's wrong? Is she sick?" She sounded a little worried as she moved around on the other end of the phone.
"No, no and I'm sure she'll explain what's happening as soon as she can but I'm planning a surprise for her-"
"A holiday?"
I stopped. "What?"
"Amelie was talking about wanting a holiday. Is that what this is? Aw that's so cute! When do you leave?" I would of put down Eves ramblings to her pregnancy but what I knew about her was that this was how she was a lot of the time.
I accepted her lie easily, believing it would be easier for her to keep that secret rather than the one involving me giving my heart to Amelie forever. "Yes! It is, but we don't leave until tomorrow evening. Are you able to cover her shifts? She won't know until I drive us to the airport."
"Oh that's so romantic!" I heard her sniffing a little down the phone. "I can't wait to hear about it! I'll sort the covers out, you have fun!" She hung up almost immediately after that, and I sat a little confused before a proudness settled over me. Step one, done.

Step Two: Get Amelie out of the Tower.
Two hours. I'd been trying to get Amelie to leave for two whole hours and she wasn't taking the hint. I'd rung the bar last night to try and get ahead, but Amelie was taking her sweet time in moving anywhere today.
"Shall we go out tonight Buck? I heard there was this play on at the theatre near Eves house, apparently it's meant to be really good." She lifted her head from the seat on the sofa, and I nodded immediately.
"Yes! Sounds great. Is Eve free now?"
Amelie looked a little puzzled as she glanced down to her phone, "Yeah she doesn't start work till later. Why, trying to get rid of me?" She asked with a cheeky grin.
"Never." I leant over the back of the sofa and locked my lips over hers. As I drew back, I tucked a flying wisp of her hair behind her ear. "But I said I'd go and visit Rebecca today. Why don't you get a head start on stuff for the new house and we meet at that park with the lake?"
"Park with the lake...?"
"The one near the bar. It has that lake-"
"I barely think it counts as a pond." She laughed, swinging her legs down onto the floor before spinning to press her lips to my cheek. "But yes! Meet there at six? I haven't seen Eve in a few days and she wanted to fill me in on the baby. Apparently her mood swings are crazy now though, her hormones are all over the place."
