Then next couple of day followed the same routine as the past few. Ross picked me up in the mornings and we had breakfast in the diner. Learning a new dancing each day and going over the ones we’d already learnt. We ate lunch in the studio together and had fun. After work he took me back to the motel. On Friday because we didn’t finish till late he took me to a pizza place and then took me home.
So far I was thoroughly enjoying being in America. I had made some great new friends and had already had some fantastic experiences and I’d only been there a week.
Jade and Cody’s date went great. They are now officially girlfriend and boyfriend and have been on two more dates. I love the fact that they are so happy. Every time I see them together it makes me feel a little happier. I must admit though sometimes I do feel a little jealous. I wish I had someone that loved me as much as you can see Cody loves Jade.
I spent the weekend exploring. I found a few good shops but didn’t buy anything because I didn’t want to waste the small amount of money I’d saved. I also found a couple of good places to eat and get a takeaway if I didn’t feel like eating out.
I woke early on Monday morning, nervous for the first day of filming. I had never been on a TV show before, which meant that I had absolutely no experience with TV cameras and sets.
We had to be at the studio by nine o’clock and Ross was picking me up around eightish. He had told me it took about forty five to get to the studio from the motel. We wouldn’t have to worry about breakfast and getting something for lunch because there would be food on set.
When Ross knocked on the door I was sitting on the corner of the bed listening to music. I only realised that he was at the door when he called “Alexis are you in there.”
I quickly jumped up off of the bed and ran over to the door. As I opened it, I pulled the headphones out of my ears and said “Sorry, I had my headphones in. I wasn’t expecting you till eight.”
“I know sorry, but I’m not that early.”
“Why, what time is it?” I asked pulling my shoes and grabbing my bag from the floor by the bed.
He looked at his watch. “Ten to.”
I grabbed my jacket from the back of the door, not that I needed it, and followed Ross out the door and down to the car park, closing and locking the door behind me.
It was already quite warm so I didn’t bother putting my jacket on. Instead I put it on the back of the seat. As he pulled out of the car park onto the main road I asked him “Do you mind if put the radio on? I’m kinda in the mood of listening to music.”
“You can put your phone in here.” He pointed to the phone holder on the dash board. “An then you can listen to what you want.”
“Okay then,” I said and got my phone out of my bag. As I unlocked it I remembered what I’d been listening to earlier. It had been some of the R5 and Austin and Ally songs I’d bought and put into a playlist. I felt a little embarrassed.
Ross must have been able to tell by my face that something was wrong because he said “What the matter?”
“Nothing. Nothing.” I lied smoothly. I didn’t know what to listen to so I when back to the songs menu and put it on shuffle. As I was doing the Ross pressed a button by the steering and the top started to come up behind us. At first I wasn’t aware of it but I realised when the sun was suddenly blocked out from above me.
I put the phone in the holder. The song started quickly typically came on was Cali Girls. I felt blood rush to my checks and knew they had turned bright red. He didn’t say anything so I didn’t mention it, instead I asked “Why’d put the top up?”
