Twenty minute later the electric blue convertible was pulling up in front the same dinner that I’d found and ate breakfast in yesterday. I had let Ross chose where to go, seeing as I didn’t know any places. At first I didn’t realise it was the same place. I only recognised it when we were inside and Ross asked me where I wanted to sit.
“Let’s sit over here.” I said leading him over to the same booth I’d sat at yesterday. “I only just noticed, but this is where I had my big breakfast yesterday.” I told him as we sat down.
“I thought it might have been, and by any chance was this where you sat when you had your big breakfast.” He asked light heartedly.
“How did you know?” I asked a little curiously.
“Lucky guess.” He laughed.
At that moment the waitress came over and asked us what we wanted. Ross ordered a glass of orange juice and a big plate of pancakes with fruit. This make me laugh a little because even though I had never really seen an episode of Austin and Ally I did know that Austin loves pancakes. When I laughed the waitress gave me a nasty look and Ross raised his eyebrows slightly.
When Ross was done ordering his food the waitress turned to me still with the nasty look on her face.
“What’s it for you?” As she asked this I looked over at the counter and saw someone being handed a steaming cup of coffee. Suddenly I was gagging for a creamy, chocolaty mocha latte.
“Um what coffees do you do?” I asked and the waitress looked like she really didn’t like me. All I could think was: What have I done? She reeled off a long list of coffees, most of which I’d never heard of. In the end she finally got to the mochas, of course the one I wanted was right at the end.
“Could I have a Mocha Latte please?” My throat went very dry at the thought of the sweet chocolaty liquid.
“And what are you having to eat?” She said sounding more and more bored by the second. I had no idea what I really wanted, but the pancakes with fruit sounded good so I said “I’ll just have the same as my friend please.”
When I finished speaking she just said “Right,” and walked off.
“Well she was nice.” I said as sarcastically as I could without her hearing. Ross didn’t say anything to this he just laughed.
“What were you laughing at when I was ordering?”
“Oh, sorry I know I shouldn’t laugh but one of the only things I know about Austin is that he loves pancakes. So when you ordered them I couldn’t help myself.”
“Oh that’s what it was! I was sitting here while you were getting yours trying to figure out what it was.”
I felt my checks warm slightly when he said this, but I wasn’t entirely sure why.
“Anyway,” he said as if he was continuing a convocation we were having before we had been interrupted. “I didn’t get to finish asking you about yourself.”
“Oh no.” I groaned and knew he was gonna ask me things I didn’t want asked.
“Oh yes, you’re not getting off that easily. Where was I yesterday?”
“I’m not gonna help you remember where you were. You’ll just have more time to ask me question I don’t want you to ask.”
“I remember,” he said sitting up a little in the sofa chair. “I was just about to ask you about what you did in your spare time, when the others came back.
I answered this with complete easy. “Well to be honest I don’t get much free time ‘cause I’m usually either going to auditions or working and when I do get some time to myself I write songs or play the guitar and very occasionally I go out with my friends.”
