Throughout his life Akashi had allways seem to be winning... But he lost the thing he loved most. A mother. The last pleasant memory he had of the only caring person in his life was when he went to a festival. His father was obviously too busy with to pay any attention to his family as they escaped at sundown to the exciting festival.

He was happily chattering with his mother obviously facing the wrong way as she chuckled at his adorablness in his yakuta. He accidently bumped into you, making you fall to the ground.

"(Name) are you ok?!" Mrs Akashi asked with a worried tone picking you up from the floor. Akashi tilted his head in confusion as to how his mother knew of the girl in a black and (fave colour) kimono.

"Ah. Er- mrs akashi- I'm fine, thank you." The girl turned to Akashi. "I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" she bowed slightly with the faintest of blushes.

"Oh nonesence! Seiji wasn't looking where he was going!" The elder woman with bright red hair picked the ear if her son.

"Maa" Akashi groaned frowning with a blush on that his miter was embarising him. You gave a tiny chuckle to the flustered boy.

"So~ Is your mother here? I have a bone to pick with her!" She gave a mischievous smirk and you shied your face away with a guilty expression.

"Er... I kind of ran away from home to see the fireworks..." You said in quiet tone.

There was a long pause before the elder woman erupted into manic laughter.

"We did the same thing! C'm'ere, your spending the night with us!" The energetic woman beamed taking your hand and dragging you off to one of the masks stands.

Akashi watched in slight confusion. Who was this (hair color)ed girl? Her eyes were pretty... Wait what was he thinking! His mother gave him a sly look over her shoulder.

"Coming seiji~" Akashi pouted at the nickname.

"Yes mother... Please don't call me seiji..." He grumbled, blushing and looking away as he saw you looking to him with a smile.

You got a cute (fave animal) mask, Akashi got a lion and Akane[akashis mother] got a bunny one.

"See! My lion can destroy all other animals!" Akashi cheered forgetting for a second that you were there.

"My (fave animal) has magical powers so hah!" You countered.

"I trump all of you because I decide whether we get ice cream or not" Akane had a smug smirk as she folded her arms tapping the folded fan on her arm slightly

"Fine..." Akashi grumbled.

"I'm sorry what was that?" Akane said in a teasing tone.

"Bunnies rule..." Akashi whispered. You and Akane burst out laughing as Akashi hastily made his way to the ice cream stand.

"I don't think he likes me..." You mumbled at the woman who held your hand.

"Oh dear, he hardly acts like this with anyone els. Your special!"

"Heh? But he isn't even talking to me!" You countered.

"Making eye contact with you is aproval enough" she said

"I don't get it..." You pouted.

"You will... One day... But I won't be here to see it..." She finished mysteriously.
