Seirin was a nice school, but it could be quite overwhelming. You were in the schools volleyball team, you were extremely good at what you do, maybe it was your high jumping ability or your fast paced agility, you did not know.

One thing you did know, however, was that you had a crush on the shadow of the seirin basketball team.

You were not like other girls, most of them were cheery, loudmouths who loved gossiping and talking about fashion and their latest crushes.

You were different. You preferred keeping to yourself, quietly reading books in the library, or even in the court yard. You had many, many friends, but you found no need to have people by your side every second of the day yammering on about some random stuff they read in a magazine on how to get guys in less than 10 days, because let's face it. That's just annoying.

So one afternoon you were calmly reading a book under a Sakura tree. Across from you, a teal haired boy was walking with the basketball team towards the gym. Though he found himself distracted as he looked to the pink petals, falling down and caressing your beautiful figure. The soft wind blowing your (h/l) (h/c) locks.

Being so caught up in your book you didn't notice the pair of sky blue eyes in your direction, neither did you notice the group of boys coming around to you until they sat down heavily besides you. The added weight to the bench startling you, making you drop your book.
"Well hey they beautiful~" you looked to them, keeping stoic, you and no business with these people.
"Excuse me but I was in the middle of a good book" he let out a chortling laugh.

"What this silly old thing?" He picked it up and flung it to the trash can. Missing entirely, but it was now ruined with dirt, and the possible filth from his hands.
"Why don't you forget the book and come have a good time with us instead?" His perverse friends seemed to agree with the idea, closing in on you.

You felt extremely uncomfortable as you backed up to the bench slightly.
"That's no way to speak to a lady" you heard a confident voice and you looked to the new comer to meet with your favourite shade of blue.

They were about to retort with a snappy remark but then they were silenced as an angry red head came up behind kuroko.
"Hey, you don't want to make this guy mad~" he warned. You could clearly see the frown plastered on kuroko's otherwise stoic face. To tell the truth you were getting a bit scared yourself.

The perverts did not yet leave, being the creeps they are.
"Come on sugar, let's go" they reached for your hand but didn't touch you as a pale hand gripped his shirt.
"I'm sure he meant no trouble" came a new, more optimistic voice. Then you saw the rest if the basketball team here, kiyoshi being the one to try and make peace.

Wow you were making a scene.
"Let go you little-" his sentence was cut short as he fell to the floor.
"Stop wasting our time!" Hyuuga's voice sounded after he Sparta kicked the losers. Never had you felt so thankful for the presence of other people.

Calming yourself down you noticed a hand extended to you. You looked up and found kuroko looking to you with a soft expression, a soft smile playing his lips.
"Would you like to join us?" You tilted your head in slight confusion, you didn't know what to say.
"I-uh-"
"Oh just come on allready!" Riko shouted pulling you up so you followed the team.

You walked at the back, talking to kuroko, abruptly he stopped and then you turned your head to look at him with a quizzical expression.
"What are you-" he raised a finger to his lips silencing you. He then took your hand and then you both started running into a sprint to the front gate.

Quickly you regained composure.
"What are you doing! You would get into trouble!!" He shook his head.
"They won't notice, let's go out" your eyes went wide.
"What?" He took your hand once more.
"Let's go out for some milkshakes" you nodded and then headed out.

Realising you were still holding his hand you quickly retreated it with a speeding blush on your cheeks. Seeing your flustered expression, kuroko found himself smirking slightly as he went to hold your hand again. This time you let him, he wouldn't give up otherwise.

You entered maji burger and ordered two vanilla shakes. You got your order and went to to sit down by the window.
"You have great taste in milkshakes" you complimented awkwardly, he chuckled. Never had you heard him chuckle before, you felt the heat rising to your cheeks and you immediately started sipping from your cup.
"So do you, tell me, why do you like vanilla, of all flavours?" You shrugged at the odd question.
"What's not to like, Hmm, it's sweet, and I suppose I kinda like the flower, I guess... It's pretty much like the father flavour if you understand me? I mean, it goes with nearly everything not to mention it's great as ice cram as well..."

He watched in amusement as you went on about why vanilla was so nice. He liked hearing your angelic voice. Listening to you talk much better than going to basketball practice any day.
"Why do you like it?" You asked.
"Because it reminds me of how sweet yet simple you are" you found yourself blushing deeply at his compliment.
"Haahaa. Thanks... Hey is that Riko?" You asked looking out.

You both sweat dropped as you got up form your seat and ran, hand in hand. Milkshakes in the other hand, smiling brightly at each other to evade the death beats from Riko.
