It didn't take long for the Mikaelson men to notice Caroline, Stefan, and Bonnie. Klaus immediately focused all of his attention on Caroline whilst Kol did the same with Bonnie.

"Brothers, do my eyes deceive me or have angels fallen up on us?" Kol asked in a daze. "Or have we died and gone to heaven?"

"Thank God, I thought I was the only one who could see them." Klaus said in relief. "Just to be clear, the blond is to be mine, she is quite exquisite."

"I was under the impression you were courting the strumpet of the village. It is no secret that darling Tatia has been with half the man in the village, including your own brother tsk tsk tsk." Kol teased. "Any my interests do not lie with her, the caramel skinned one is more to my liking she seems feisty."

"The way you speak of women will get you kicked where the sun does not shine Kol." Finn said seriously. "Father does not appreciate stranger's wandering around, let us find out who they are and what they want."

They made their way over to the group that looked confused, almost like they'd seen ghosts. The closer they got them more Klaus and Kol noted on the beauty of the girls. They really hoped none of them were spoken for. It would be a tragedy.

"Good day, I am Finn, and these are my brothers, Elijah, Klaus, and Kol." Finn greeted extending his hand to shake Stefan's. "Who may you be?"

"Good day." Stefan smiled politely. "I am Stefan, and these are my sisters, Bonnie and Caroline."

"Good day gentlemen." The girls said in unison.

"We were travelling when we got ambushed by some thieves." Stefan lied. "As you can see, my sisters and I have lost everything. We were currently scouting for the closest village so we can try and resettle."

Bonnie and Caroline just stood aside and watched as Stefan lied through his teeth. He was good. The men seemed to be buying it.

"Well, our village is near by, although you can not stay without placing down a payment according to my father's rules." Elijah said. "There is currently a vacant stand if you are interested, but as you say you've lost everything I'm not sure how to help you."

"We haven't necessarily lost everything. We have jewellery, will that do?" Caroline asked innocently.

"Of course." Kol answered relieved that the men with them was merely their brother. "Bonnie is quite an interesting name, you're not from around are you?"

"Oh yes, my biological parents liked the interesting stuff." Bonnie answered. "We are from the new world."

"You are long way from home." Kol informed. "Are you travelling alone?"

"Our parents were taken by the plague on our way here,we've been trying to find a way back home ever since. My sisters and I are at a loss." Stefan answered looking really sad.

Finn cleared his throat, feeling a tad uncomfortable with the emotions going around."I'm sorry for your loss. Well let us not waste anymore time we'll lead you to the village. Our father is travelling at the moment, but my mother can handle your living arrangements." Finn said walking past them.

The original witch.

The gang followed behind them. Klaus walked alongside Caroline and Kol with Bonnie whilst Stefan was discussing the laws of the village with Finn.

It took about ten minutes for them to finally reach the village. Rebekah and who they assumed was Henrik ran to welcome their brother's.

"Brothers you're back." Rebekah cheered hugging Klaus the longest. Guess they were close even in human times. "Who are they."

"This is Stefan, Caroline, and Bonnie. We found them in the woods, they were ambushed by bandits and lost everything." Klaus said gently towards his little sister. "Their parents were taken by the plague."

"Oh you poor things, how dreadful." Rebekah gasped. "We must help, let me go and call mother."

The group watched as Rebekah ran into a hut coming out a few minutes later with an older woman. They all recognized her as Esther Mikaelson, the original witch, the Mikaelson's mother and creator of the vampire race.

"Good day," she greeted. "My name is Esther, my daughter has informed me about all you have been through. I am terribly sorry about what happened to you. We have a spare hut you can stay in, if you can put down a payment it's all yours."

Stefan handed over a necklace of his made of pure gold he'd gotten in the 30s. He didn't care much for the piece of jewellery

Esther smiled. "Welcome to the village." She turned to the girls. "I trust my son has told you of you responsibilities, we do not appreciate slackers in this village, we already have enough of that with Tatia. Winter is coming so you need to prepare yourselves, it can be agruesome time. I won't keep you any longer, I am sure you wish to rest. I would like to extend you an invitation into my home for supper at sunset if you are willing to come?"

"We'll be there." Caroline answered quickly. She had no idea how to cook over an open fire, so maybe joining the Mikaelson family for dinner, might be a good learning experience. She really didn't want to embarrass herself in front of Klaus' human version.

The Mikaelson's soon left them to get settled, which didn't take long since they had nothing. Stefan was tasked with the chore of hunting food for their home, Caroline volunteered to make them clothing since she took some design classes at school. The girls would do the cooking, cleaning and washing, just like all the women  of the small village would. They had no idea how long they would be in the past, so it was best to act like they belonged there.

Next chapter will be a time jump to three days. Mikael will be back.😍
