Caroline, Bonnie and Rebekah stood in a line leading towards Ayana's hut in the cold early morning. All the women of the village had been assembled for their annual health checks performed by Ayanna and Esther. Bonnie and Caroline decided that since Ayanna knew about their situation, it was best to be inspected by her because she wouldn't ask questions if she saw the tiny heart shaped tattoo on Caroline's ankle.

"How long do we have to wait out here for before it's our turn? The sun hasn't even risen yet, and it's so cold. Clinics in our period of time are much less taxing." Caroline whispered.

"Caroline we are next so please stop complaining." Bonnie groaned. "You sound worse than a dog being dragged to the vet."

Suddenly the door opened interrupting their thoughts. The three girls looked up and met Ayana's very unhappy face. She looked so angry that they contemplated moving to the back of the line.

"You children at making things very difficult for me. Enter this instant." Ayanna commanded. The girls slowly made their way into the hut and sat down. "I have never ever travelled through time in my life, but even I know you must never do things in the past that could compromise the future."

"What do you mean?" Caroline asked. "We haven't done anything to change the future."

Ayanna laughed sarcastically. "That's exactly where you are wrong my dear. I told you girls to enjoy your time here but I never told you to start families. How am I suppose to send six people back through time? Caroline and Bonnie you were intimate with Klaus and Kol and now you carry their children."

"What?" Bonnie and Caroline cried in unison.

"Ayanna you must be mistaken," Bonnie said. "It was only one time w-we can't be pregnant."

"It only takes one time my child," Ayanna sighed. "I have consulted with the spirit's, they say if you do not return to your own time you'll die. You have only a day to say your goodbyes."

"The spirits wouldn't let me die, I'm the last Bennett witch, and who are they to decide what happens." She was upset, and it was evident to Caroline.

"Let's all calm down." Caroline said trying to be the anchor. "Ayanna I am begging you, there has got to be a way, there is always a loophole. We have nothing to return to in our time, we love it here please."

Ayanna sighed. "There is no way child. The spirits have spoken, When you go back in time the memories of the people you have met here will be erased. Time will not have moved in your century. If you do not return to your time by tomorrow you are at the risk of losing those precious gifts you carry. The ancestors will see it as an act against their power and terminate your pregnancies. But if you return to your time, your pregnancies will carry on. If you ask me it is best you return to your time, wicked things are coming our way here."

"This cannot be happening." Rebekah mumbled. "Ayanna please, there has to be a way, this will ruin my brothers especially if they find out that they are to be fathers."

"How do we make them remember?" Bonnie asked. "Kol is dead, but Nik and Rebekah are still alive, and I know Stefan and Caroline will want them to remember."

"I have told you everything I know. What happens when you go back is up to you. You may live now and say your goodbyes I will be waiting by the waterfall tomorrow at sundown."

The girls all stood and left Ayana's hut in silence. Everything was falling apart yet again, maybe they were never meant to find happy ever after. They headed to Caroline, Bonnie, and Stefan's hut to find all the boys waiting for them. How would they even begin to say goodbye?

Kol, Klaus, and Stefan immediately noticed that something was not right, they ran towards their significant others with worried expressions

"Love what's the matter, tell me what's wrong?" Klaus asked Caroline.
