Bonnie and Kol were doing a lovely slow dance. To the outside world it looked like they were stranded in their own world with only each other as a life raft. They paid no attention to what was happening around them. They didn't have forever in this world, so they were cherishing this moment. Bonnie especially. She was so used to everyone she loved either living or dying on her. Kol was already dead, so she was skeptical of their relationship. Was she ready to suffer more pain and loss when she got back home?

"Have I told you that you look absolutely stunning this evening?" Kol whispered in Bonnie's ear.

She blushed. "Only about a hundred times."

"Well it's true. Sometimes it's hard to believe that I could find someone as amazing as you."

"Oh Kol, I don't want to go back." Bonnie blurted. "I don't know is I'll survive living in a world without you."

Kol hugged Bonnie to him in comfort. "I know, I don't want you to live either. Perhaps we could appeal to Ayanna's gracious and generous side so that you, Caroline and Stefan don't have to live?"

Bonnie scoffed. "She has a side like that, I hadn't noticed." She said in annoyance. "I'm sorry," she sighed, "I don't mean to be rude it's just she hasn't even given me the time of day, and I'm supposed to be he really great granddaughter. You'd think she'd have some good advice for me for when I go back, but all she does is shut the door in my face."

"Ayanna is a difficult woman Bonnie, she does not let herself get close to people easily. The only time I've seen her laugh is when she goes fetching water with my mother sometimes." Kol said. "Don't let her ruin your last days here."

"You're probably right. I shouldn't let her dampen my mood. If she doesn't want to know me it's her own loss, I am a wonderful person." Bonnie sighed. "Stefan tried, but she shot him down immediately. She said that balance needed to be put back in place. And us being here is disturbing it."

Kol sighed. "Why does everything have to be so difficult?"

Bonnie shrugged. She looked around the town square, and it was only then that she realized Caroline and Klaus where nowhere to be found. Had she really let herself get so carried away? That was so unlike her.

"Did you see where Caroline and Klaus went?" Bonnie asked changing the depressing topic of them living.

Kol shrugged. "I'm not sure, but knowing my brother we probably won't see them until sunrise."

Bonnie giggled. She loved how Kol managed to get her from sad to happy in seconds. She definitely had to find a way to bring him back when they returned to the future or so help her she would do herself in so she could be with him. True love knows no bounds right?

"How would you like to get out of here and accompany me to the cliffs?" Kol asked.

"Won't we get in trouble?" Bonnie asked.

"Father is far too drunk to even notice we're gone. And besides mother will be...distracted all night long. We just have to make I back by the morning."

Bonnie grimaced. "I didn't need to hear about your parents, but I'll come to the cliffs with you." Bonnie said. "But we should probably get some blankets first."

"Already ahead of you." Kol said smugly.

"Did you plan this? What if I had said no?"

"You wouldn't have, besides I need some alone time with you, we don't get nearly enough of that."

"I love you." Bonnie said dreamily.

Kol's eyes widened. "I beg your pardon?"

Bonnie panicked. "I'm sorry, I just..."

"Don't be sorry." Kol said grasping her waist making her face him. "I love you too, so much. I have never courted a girl but you make it so worth the trouble. You are beautiful, smart, and kind. I need someone like that to shadow my selfishness."

Bonnie laughed. "It just seems so unfair." She said. "Who knows if you'll even be able to remember this when I live. You are dead in the future. I don't see anything worth going back for if you are not there."

"I believe in you Bonnie, if anyone can bring me back it'll be you." Kol said. "I will never forget being in love with you."

"But Ayanna said..."

Kol put his finger to her lip cutting her off. "Ayanna nothing. Could we just live in the now?"

Bonnie nodded, although she still felt a lasting sadness.

They eventually made it to the cliffs. Bonnie gasped at the sight before her. A blanket covered the ground. With roses littered all over it, there was a basket in the centre of the blanket.

Bonnie turned to look at Kol finding him kneeling on the ground with one leg. She had told him about that tradition earlier in the week.

Kol smiled nervously. "I know that every sensible bone in your body is going crazy right now, but I had to do this. I don't know when you'll disappear and I want to have known you are mine my then."

Kol produced a single red rose with a sparkly ring glittering at her in the moonlight.

"Bonnie Bennett, you have made me feel so alive since I met you. You make me whole and you make me want to become a man of honour. I envision you swelling with my child. I do not want to live a day on this earth without you. Will you marry me?"

"Oh my gosh yes!" Bonnie exclaimed hugging Kol. But almost immediately the joy washed away. "But how?"

"I believe you will figure it out in the future." Kol whispered bringing her towards him.

"I love you." Bonnie whispered.

"As do I." Kol whispered back joining there lips.

The kiss started softer and gentle at first before getting more passionate. Kol helped Bonnie untie her dress before laying her on the blanket. He knew what he wanted to do was against the rules, but he couldn't stop as he laid soft open mouthed kisses on Bonnie's neck.

He whispered words of love to her through out the night. Neither of them thinking of the consequences there actions would bring.

So I can't write smut scenes so I just speed it all up and live it to your imagination. I really hope you enjoyed my Kennet chapter. Even though they never happened, I prefer them to Kolvina. Next chapter coming up😍
