After sitting through the long explanation that Stefan gave, Rebekah stood, tears in her eyes and left without a word, living everyone with the exception of her brothers confused.

"Did we say something wrong?" Bonnie asked worriedly. She really had missed their friendship with Rebekah and hoped it hadn't changed.

"Rebekah has always longed to have a regular human life, have babies, grow old, etcetera, but because of being turned into a vampire, she lost those dreams. I think seeing you have the one thing she's always wanted is crushing her." Klaus explained sadly. He hated to see his sister miserable. "She doesn't hate you, but she's just hurt."

"I'll go after her." Stefan said before flashing away in search of Rebekah. He soon found her in the park, sobbing into her lap. He went and sat on the bench next to her and just held her in comfort. She looked so tiny and fragile, and it broke him.

"Becky?" He whispered gently.

"I know, I feel horrible for running out on my best friends but I couldn't take it." Rebekah sobbed. "I remember too. And I want to forget, we were so happy. Why me? Why must I suffer like this?"

"What do you mean?"

"When I was a little girl I did everything I was told to do by my parents. I did the chores, I came home on time and yet here I am, suffering. For a thousand years, I have searched for love and I found it in the 20s only to lose it, then I found it again and now I can't even give you a child. I told Klaus to keep this memory from you, when we were in Chicago, we discussed getting married, we met a beautiful little girl named Chelsea on the streets, she was seven. Her parents had been murdered and she had no one. We were going to get married and run away, taking her with us, but Mikael attacked, I don't even know what happened to her."

Tears ran down Stefan's face as he listened to her. "I'm so sorry my love. I wish I could just reverse the clock so that all the pain you have been through will go away. If it's a child that you want, we'll find a way. There are many options including adoption."

"It can't just be any child Stefan!" Rebekah exclaimed. "We both have to feel connected to the child like we did with Chelsea. Even as a rippah you loved her."

Stefan sighed bringing Rebekah into his arms. "I hate this feeling. I can give you anything you want, cars, clothes, jewellery, houses, but the one thing you want I can not give you."

Rebekah kissed his cheek gently and stayed in his arms, her eyes drifting. "I just want to be happy with you."

They sat there comforting each other for an hour before deciding to go and face everyone once again. Rebekah and Bonnie ran towards Rebekah and hugged her the minute they spotted her.

"Rebekah we're so sorry." Caroline rushed. "We should have been more  considerate about your feelings."

"It's okay, I'm really happy for you all, I just wish..." Rebekah's eyes drifted to the porch were Elijah and Sophie were sitting on the porch swing laughing like old friends reunited. "When did that happen?"

Caroline lowered her voice and whispered. "Sophie likes Elijah, but she doesn't think Elijah will ever feel for her what she feels for him."

"Do you think she's worth of his affection." Rebekah whispered as not to alert Elijah to what they were discussing. Her brother had had his heart broken one too many times, and she didn't want it to happen again.

"I've known her for an hour," Bonnie said. "But I've always had this gift of judgement and I can sense that Sophie is alright."

Rebekah nodded seemingly satisfied. They didn't need another Katherine Pierce in their lives. They made their way back to the Porch where Caroline went and nestled herself into Klaus' arms whilst Bonnie sat alone and Sophie and Elijah sat by the swing whereas Rebekah and Stefan optioned to keep standing, holding hands.

"So Elijah has offered to accompany me to Minnesota to retrieve the rest of the ingredients that I need to get this spell underway, we should be back in two days." Sophie said.

"What do we do whilst you are gone?" Caroline asked.

"Keep yourselves healthy. I don't know why, but I can sense something big is going to go down, so keep yourselves around Klaus or Rebekah. The babies you both carry are going to attract danger, especially since they are part Original." Sophie said standing up. "I'm going to pack up and we'll be on our way soon.

"You hear that Bonnie? Kol's going to be back soon. I actually miss him." Caroline giggled.

Bonnie wrapped her arms around her belly. She prayed in her heart that all would go according to the plan. She didn't think she could handle it if she never saw Kol again. She suddenly felt as if an arm was wrapped around her, but there was no one near her. She brushed it off thinking its all in her mind. She got back to laughing with her friends. When Sophie came out, they all hugged with promises of seeing each other soon before she and Elijah went off on their own journey.

I know its short, but better something than nothing at all. xoxo
