Chapter 6

Leaning at the cars window, I just wondered how naive I am trusting some kind of guy who said that there are other survivors out there. Part of me right now wants to jump out of the window and the other part wants to continue with this guy so that I can meet other people. Well nothing will hurt if I see for myself right? I can just beat his ass off if he lie to me.

I put my gaze to him. "Where is this place that you are telling me?" I asked and he looked at me. "Somewhere in the forest." He said and smirked a little. "If its not true?" I said and raised my eyebrow at him. "I don't lie." He said seriously. "What if you are?" I said crossing my arms. "Then don't believe me." He said turning his eyes again to the road. I rolled my eyes and leaned on the window again. Forget it, I could just beat him up. I will still not lower my guard down.

A few munites of driving my eyes got droopy. I feel tired and I just want to rest but I can't. I will not sleep and lower my guard at this guy. But again my eyes feels heavy and I can feel it closing. I tried to fight it off but its still closed and I quickly fell asleep...

"Hey." A deep voice said and pat my shoulders. I quickly woke up and look straight at him. I clench my fists and put it up, ready to punch him on his face. "What are you doing?" He said raising his eyebrows. "Isn't it obvious? I'm not lowering my guard towards you." I said, still and didn't put my hands down. "You already did." He said calm. I realized that I slept through the night. "Put your hands down because your like an idiot." He said looking at me and back to the road. I put my hands down and let my gaze off of him.

I looked at the window and saw broken buildings and skyscrapers. My eyes widened when I saw a large figure heading at the side of our car. "Uhmm Link, we have company." I said shaking his hands and he stopped the car. He looked at the side of the car and he saw the large figure.

"Well this is gonna be a rough ride tonight so you better hold on to your seat." He said and smirked at me. I know that smirk. Where is the seatbelt? I thought to myself and quickly put the seat belts on. He looked at me and smiled a little. He's insane!

"Rrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaggģggghh!" The creature roared. It ran at us and I looked at Link. He is so calm and sneering. "What are you waiting for!? Drive back!" I shouted at him and he looked at me with his calm face and smirked. "This is not our direction." He said pointing at the back. He pointed where the creature is. "That is our direction." He said and sneered.
"No no no no! Your going to kill us both! There is no way you can get pass that thing!" He grabbed my shoulders. "Just trust me on this." He said and I nodded.

He started the engine and quickly pulled the car to the direction of the creature. Ohh my gosh! We are gonna die! He just waited there. The creature is now closer to us. It put its hands up and tried to smash us but Link already drift off and drove straight underneath the creature. We are closely out when suddenly the creatures tail blocked our way. I screamed, closed my eyes. I peaked a little and he drifted by the side of its tail. He dodged it.

We are on the road now and still was chased by that creature. My body was shaking at the thought of close death. He hold my hand and caress it. "Right now you need to be strong." He said looking at my eyes. His silver eyes was shining. They are beautiful. I made myself braver. I inhaled and exhaled to make me calm. "That's my girl." He said and smiled.

He put his gaze to the road again. I looked at the back. The creature is much closer to us. I put my bloody rose out and I pressed the button to put the window down. I put my half torso out and point my gun at the thing. I shot at it and it didn't flinch. It roared and ran faster. I shot again and still nothing happened.

"Concentrate, Xena." A calm deep voice said to me. "Xena, I'm in your head right now." He said. "Link?" I said confused. "Yes its me now listen. Close your eyes and concentrate feel your power overwhelming you." He said and I can feel something powerful through my body. "Now put that power within your signature gun." He said and I think harder about my gun and releasing my energy to it. "You can now open your eyes and see what your ability is." He said and I slowly opened my eyes.
