Chapter 12

Xena's Pov

I was surrounded by darkness, it felt cold and lonely. I looked around and all I can see is abstract black. I was floating in the darkness and all I hear is my heavy breathing. 

My eyes widened as I saw a light from afar and I tried to float to it. I became closer and closer and saw a red wooden door. Curious, I put my hands to the doorknob. My eyes widened as I saw a titanium black  snake coming out of the keyhole and it slithered around my hands.

I screamed as I tried to pull it away from me. I fell to the ground with my heart beating fast. I breathed heavily as I felt its cold body wrapped around my hands. 

I felt weak and I couldn't even get the snake off of me. I froze as the snake raised its body and faced me with its blue green eyes. Somehow my breathing became calm as I looked at the snakes beautiful eyes. 

It's tongue is coming inside and out as it's eyes stared at mine completely. I stayed calm and watched its eyes very carefully. 

"Don't be scared, Xena..." I was startled as it talked to me with its hissing voice. I never seen a talking snake. 

I inhaled calm and looked at it with a stern face. "Who are you?" I said calm and it hissed again. "I am your other half, Xena." It hissed. "What?" I said with a confused face.

"You have summoned me... You are awakened." It said and I just listened to him. "What do you mean?" I asked. "It means that your real power will be out." It hissed. "Real power?" I asked and it nodded.

"Yes, your real power is more powerful than what you think... That power will consume you if you don't now how to handle it." It said and hissed again. 

"Then what am I gonna do?" I asked and it hissed. "You have to train..." It said. "But what will I do if I lose it again?" I said with a nervous expression. 

"Don't worry, I will help you." It said and I nodded. "But first you have to not tell the lab freaks about me." It said and I looked at him. 

"What lab freaks?" I asked and he looked behind. I looked at it too and I saw a light as it approached us. When it got close I saw a glowing ball and it has an image of me in an laboratory.

The snake looked at me. "If you tell them they will examine you. You will be killed once they know that you have another familiar inside. You are the only demon who has a familiar inside and that means you are different from other demons." I looked at it wide eyed.

"You can't tell anyone because once you do you will be caught." It hissed as it slithered through my hands to my stomach. I flinched as I felt it in me.

I saw light above me and I put my hands up to my eye to protect it. The light became bigger and it swallowed me. 

I felt my body lying in a bed and I opened my eyes to see the light that is above me. I looked at my side and saw people six people surrounding me. I quickly rise from the bed and removed the extensions around my body. 

They moved back as I looked at them with my furrowed eyes. "What are you doing to me?" I said with my stern expression. 

I looked at the person who begins to step forward. He removed his mask and my expression felt relaxed as I saw Rodrick. "Xena, I'm glad you're alright! I will call my young brother." He said excitingly as he walked out of the lab. 

I want to follow him so I stood up and walk to the door but the people inside the lab blocked my way. "Ms. You have to stay to your bed to rest." The man said and I pulled his hands away from me. "I'm alright now." I said and he shook his head again. Well now I'm annoyed.
