Chapter 16

My heart throbbed as I saw Laura covered with red thick blood. Veins covered her body, revealing only her torso and head. 

Seeing her in this situation made me realize that I was being careless and let her suffer through the days when I just train and do other stuff. 

It made me think that I was being selfish for leaving her at this situation. Even if her eyes is closed I can still see her expression in agony. Her tears had dried up to her bloodied face.  Her lips were dried up too...

"Well, well look who we have here." A voice said. Both me and Link look at the side of Laura as we noticed a person standing there. It was a man under his mid thirty's, He was wearing a dark brown leather jacket that is zipped up and black leather pants with his black boots. Link and I pulled out our weapons and point it to that man standing before us.

He laughed again with his scorn voice. He walked to Laura and touched her calves slowly. My blood boiled as soon as he did that. I shot his hand but he immediately pulled it away and showed me his menacing smile.

"You shouldn't do that if I were you." He said with his index finger wiggling and smiled. "I already did." I said with my expression remained the same.

He looked at Laura again and scanned her up and down. "Isn't this creature beautiful? Her blood and flesh is very fresh. Her soul is very pure-" I interrupted him from his stupid fantasy. 

"Shut up and tell me what you did to her!" I said with my eyes pierced to him and my face turned into a scowl. He smiled at me. "Ohh I just did a little experiment on her." He said explaining it enthusiastic.

"Experiment?" I asked with anger. "Yes, we put her in a machine were she transforms like us but powerful. It is quite enough to kill you both." He said happily.

I couldn't control my temper anymore so I run to him while shooting with my rifle. "Starting already?" He said and dodged all the bullets. I chased him and hit him with my bullets.

"You b*stard You will pay for what you have done." I said and I felt my body warming with power. I saw my dark violet steam coming from my hands as I hit him. 

He dodged all my attacks and kept chasing him. He just laughed but was stopped as soon as I saw a fist landed on his face and he flew away. 

I saw silver eyes looked at me. "Leave him to me." Link said with determination. "No I should kill that b*astard!" I said and Link looked at me with his dominant eyes. It felt dark and very intimidating.

"No, I will do it and you save the girl." He said and then whistled. I saw Viel flying to Link very fast and slowly turning into dark green smoke. Link hold his hands out then the dark green smoke is consumed fast.

My eyes went wide as the smoke in his hands turned into a giant dagger. The dagger was smoking with dark green steam. He looked back at me with his glowing silver eyes and he nodded to me. 

I nodded to him and ran to Laura. I took my knife then sliced all the veins that is covering her naked body. Medusa slithered to my arm and she bit the veins. The veins melted and Laura fell from the wall. I Immediately catch her with my arms, she felt light. "She is light because you got strong, dear." She said and I nodded.

I looked at the two male fighting and I saw the man full of slice through his body. His eyes was full of fear. Link in the other hand was smirking. I got the creeps when I saw him smirking through the entire fight.

Someone's having a good time I guess. He chased the man and the man was screaming in fear. link swayed his dagger through the air and the man was sliced in two. The body fell but as I saw it. It turned into a monster that's like the one who kidnapped Laura.
