Chapter 18

My mind was in daze when I just stared at the man who I've killed in front of me. Blood was all over the ground. 

My dagger was satisfied with his blood and flesh it disappeared, leaving a dark violet steam hovering around me.

I gasped as I felt my neck ached. My body was shaking as the power disappeared. I felt weak but was glad that Laura and the others left safely.

I don't need to worry because I know Link will not let her get hurt. My limbs begin to shake and before I fell to the ground Medusa catch me with her large body slithered on my stomach.

"Laura I got you." She said while putting me slowly to the ground. My neck still hurt and my body felt cold.

I looked at Medusa's worried blue green eyes as it scanned me completely. "You did a great job saving the others." I smiled at her.

She shook her head and smiled. "No, we did." She said with her thoughts expressed to me. My smirk turned into a gasped when I felt my neck burning.

"Xena, you have to bare it. You have to get used to these." Medusa said and I tried to insert that to my mind but the pain was explicit.

"This is not good." She said as she tried to lick off the pain on my neck. I heard footsteps coming over to us and I tried to stand up to run but my body didn't let me to.

Medusa forced me to stay calm as I felt a warm arms touch my shoulders. I put my gaze on that person and was met with a beautiful grey eyes. 

I felt relaxed when Link was before me. His eyes full of worried expression. "Xena." He said with his worried expression.

My eyes finally give up and I felt really tired so I let the darkness cover my whole vision.

"Link's POV"

My heart ached as I looked at Xena who is in this state. I felt useless of the thought that I didn't helped her.

She saved all of us from that demon. If it weren't for her that demon might go to our home and destroy it...

Medusa looked at me with a worried expression her blue green eyes reminded me of the Xena who fought with this monster.

I looked at the demon which is beside us and he is completely ruined. His head was gone and he was pinned by the large rock.

I looked at Xena and saw her neck it was steaming with glowing dark violet steam. It was bitten and bleeding. I looked at Medusa and furrowed my eyes.

She knew I was angry and that she didn't have to go this far. "Yes, you have the right to be angry at me because I made a choice that is very dangerous for her. She was very determined to save all of you so I helped her." She said and I stared at her.

"Sorry." I said to her and she gave me a questionable stare. "I was harsh I knew that you always choose what is right for her and you will not let her get hurt." I said and she nodded.

"Come on we have to go back it isn't safe here." I said and she nodded and slithered to Xena's shoulders.

I carried Xena and walked. I whistled and Viel went back. I commanded him to increase and he transformed into a large hawk.

He put his body down to let us ride his back. I  hopped and commanded him to go. He flapped his large wings and in seconds we are at the sky. He looked at Xena and his face felt down.

I told him that she was gonna be okay and he just nodded and felt relieved. When we traveled I looked at Xena and remembered what happened a while ago...
