Chapter 33

The cold was still making my body numb but I'm glad that we escaped there with Caleb. He was still wobbly so Link held his shoulders along the way down the hill.

Viel was still roaming the skies for our safety. Once we are down we walked in the city. It was empty but we can sense the presence at the other side.

"We have to be quiet." Link said and both us nodded. Our footsteps were crunching the snow that we step. 

I looked at the city from afar and it felt so desolated.

"Xena." I flinched by the voice that whispered so vaguely through my ear. I looked back seeing no one there.

I looked back at the others and ignored the voice. Maybe I was just hearing things. 

Medusa slithered through my neck and look at me with a bothered expression.

"You have been acting weird a lot lately and I can't bear it. It's not forbidden to share." She said while her tongue was going in and out.

I just smiled at her. There is nothing to keep from her anyways.

"Well I heard a voice just now."

"Really?" She said tilting her head.

"Yes...It was kind of vague but I clearly heard it calling my name."

"It must be-"

"Xena." Caleb interrupted. We both looked at them and then we saw the market.

"We should grab some little stuff before we go." Caleb said and I nodded. They both walked inside while I stood there and looked at Medusa.

"Sorry Medusa what did you have to say?" I said and she faced down. What is she doing?

"Medusa?" I said and she looked back at me with a smile.

"Ohh its nothing. I forgot about it haha." She said and I raised my eyebrows.

"Really?" Curiosity filled me.

"Yes." She said and slithered back in my hair.

What's she thinking? I got curious now. I put the thought beside now and entered the market.

Caleb and Link were there picking up things and I too will pick up now. When we are done we got out.

Caleb told us that he has to get weapons on his own. Link commanded Viel to search for a weaponry shop.

We walked around a little while looking at the buildings and places. The place was mossy, vehicles scattered everywhere. The atmosphere felt so heavy. It looked like an actual apocalyptic movie.

I just can't accept that it went straight hell since then.

"Xena..." I felt a tap on my shoulder and saw Link.

"We have to go. Viel had found one." He said and I nodded and followed them.

We walked through some buildings cautiously and landed on a gun shop. The door has a golden phoenix on it and the handle were pistols. Quite cool though. But it was very dusty

I held my two bloody rose out and Caleb cocked his shotgun then Link took his sword. We all were still not sure if its safe so this is much safe thing to do.

Link held the door knob then slowly twist it. He pushed the door slowly and then a swarm of bats came swarming out. I covered myself with my arms quickly as they came out.

Once they all came out Link created fire using his power. Caleb came close to Link and had an "Wow" written on his face. "You are full of surprises sir Link." He said and Link rolled his eyes. Caleb smirked at him and grabbed Links shoulders locking it. 

"Hahahaha don't be that cold man I was just complimenting you!" 

"I don't need your compliments oven head!" Link grunts and pushed Caleb away causing him to tumble down the dusty floor.

He groan as he sat on the floor caressing his butt. "Man you didn't have to push me that much!" He said as he stood up.

He mumbled to himself trash talking Link as he pat the dust away from his attire. When he finished he pat his dusty hand creating a clap noise. 

Our eyes went wide when lights open suddenly. Then we were at awe as we looked at the weapons. It was like a long hallway of weapons! 

Caleb smiled happily as he jogged excitedly to each thing. The others were in the glass which include canons and m4 rifles. There are basically many things in here. 

We all looked around the place. I was kind of entertained by the things here. I walked around and then my eyes were catch by an gun that had a golden pheonix crest on its handle. 

I looked at the name and it was written. "ASh-12.7 assault rifle." 

I smashed the glass with my bloody rose and took the gun slowly. I observed it and called out medusa on my head. She came out and looked at the gun. "I know this gun. This was my dads favorite kind of gun to use back then. He won many battles with this kind of gun." I said and 

Medusa then slithered to my arm and penetrated to the gun. My eyes went wide when the gun slowly melted then formed into a violet steaming rifle. The handle was covered in chains and the pheonix crest melted to a rattle snake with blue green eyes was locked in chains. Then chains were tying on my arm.

"Xena you found your signature gun." Medusa said through my head. Link and Caleb looked at me with a surprised look.

"Xena what is this!?" Caleb said and Link smiled at me. "Who knew your signature gun is here all along?"He said while smiling and I begun to go normal again as Medusa went out of the gun. The chains were slowly releasing my hand and went back to the gun. 

But when I'm normal Caleb stared at my eyes. "Xena is your eyes always like this?" He said and I shook my head.

"No normally my body does go back to normal fast but my eyes may need twenty minutes to shift back to normal." I said and Caleb still stared.

I smiled. "Caleb don't worry this is not permanent." I said and he gave me a confuse look. 

"What? No! It's just you're eyes resembles your fathers. They're...Beautiful." He said and I smiled. 

"Well thank you." I said and looked at them. Caleb was full of weapons behind him while Link carried a bag. 

"Well from the looks of it you both are ready to go." I said and Caleb nodded while Link shuffles the bag. 

Suddenly we heard a lot of roaring sounds outside. We slowly go to the door and peeked outside. Suddenly we saw a flying monster roaming around. Link was shaking and its not because of fear but because he was angry.

"He's still alive!?"
