Chapter 30

My heart beats fast as I look at the man in front of me. Those blue green eyes could it be really him? Walking slowly out of the hole, I just stood there unsure of my actions.

Sometimes I cannot trust myself of what it reacts on. I felt my body cold as soon as the man stared at me with his cold blue green glowing eyes. He started to approach me and my body started to move forward but I stop and remained there.

He slowly pulled his sword and point it to me but immediately pulled it away as his eyes wide open. He stood there with a shocked expression and stared at me. I saw his eyes slowly dripping in tears. "Xe- Xena? Is that really you?" I heard his low voice say.

My heart beats faster and my eyes widen by the name he called me. I still have hesitations so I decided to ask him. "How do you know my name?" I asked and he smiled lovingly. "I've known you since you were a child. I gave you to a loving family called 'Rise."

My tears begun to flow as he approached me and put a hand on my face but I slap it away and looked at him with anger. "But why!? Why do you have to give me away!? Why did you leave me!? Why? Just why!?" I said as I snort. Feeling my heart as it aches and beats fast.

He gave me a worried sad face and looked at me with guilt. "Sweety I did that for your safety. For you to be alive. For you to live a happy and peaceful life. Because if you are with me at that time you could have died." He said as he remained with his guilty expression.

"Why?" I said and he looked at me with his defeated eyes. "How about mom? Is she alive? Where is she?" I asked and he didn't respond a while. "Your mother died back then protecting you." He said as I wipe my tears away.

I did know all he said but I still want to confirm if he really is saying the truth. I look at him seriously and asked him the most questionable thing about them and me.

"What kind of being are we?" I asked and he sighed and look at me seriously. "You are a powerful being Xena. You are the pride of my kingdom when you where born. People loved you and cherish the face of a powerful being in the kingdoms cradle. You were their hope from chaos. But one day someone didn't like the feeling of both you and your mother in the kingdom. His name is B-"

"Balor." I continued and his eyes widened and pulled me aside and fell to the ground. I look back at him and saw Balor who tried to slice me.

They both forced their sword together and looked at each other menacingly. "It's been a while now Asmodeus my friend I didn't know your still alive and just cowardly staying in the dark." Balor said and Asmodeus push Balor back and swing his sword on Balors stomach which sliced through his stomach. He shouted in pain and looked at Asmodeus angrily.

Asmodeus stared at him coldly. "You never change Bal." He said as he grips his sword with blood dripping on it. My eyes went wide as the blood from his sword was sucked in and black smoke emits. 

Balor smiled as he looked at his sliced stomach. He chuckled and his wound was gone. He looked at Asmodeus and smiled menacingly. "That little trick of yours will never work again." He laughed and Asmodeus stared at him expressionless. 

"You know Asmo. Your daughter there, has an extremely rare power. It will be useful for me to wake my pet. A little drop from her blood will give myself a powe-." Balor was cut off when Asmodeus cut his hands. 

Asmodeus eyes turned completely black as he looked at Balor. Asmodeus jump away from balor and they both locked eyes. "You will never touch my daughter again Balor. Now that I'm here." Asmodeus said and Balor smiled.

"Is that so?" He said and I saw something falling from the top and saw a large boulder. I heard Asmodeus shout my name but I quickly jump away from the boulder. "Xena are you okay!?" I heard him and said. "Yes I'm fine." I said through my head and I think he heard me.
